Carter Water

I came home to my system spouting water on the side of the house. Called Carter Water and they requested a picture of where the water was coming from. They immediately suggested a service call, had me turn off the system, and suggested getting bottled water for the next 5 days while I waited for the technician to come out. When the technician arrived, he asked me what the problem was, and after a short explanation, he told me that this is a normal cleansing cycle. He then resets my timer on the system because apparently a power outage had reset the cycle. $150 for a 2 second visit! When I called initially, they should have told me it was normal. I could have reset the timer myself. Instead, they saw this as an opportunity to exploit people for $150. I’ve been a customer for 8 years. I’m in the process of selling my home and will make sure the new owner does not use these services either and anyone else that will listen.

I called this company based on the good reviews. I have a specific brand of well equipment made by RainSoft. They told me they were not a rainsoft dealer but could still repair my system. Based off this, I said they could come out as the local rainsoft dealer was backed up for the next 10 days. First, the tech was supposed to come by between 4-6pm and only showed at 7:15pm. Then he proceeds to tell me that he is not sure what exactly is wrong with my equipment and won't be able to do anything without having a supervisor call me and look at it. He said he had never seen my type of 3 tank non-chlorinated system before. Then he says since he can't do anything today, he will just charge me a $50 trip fee. Next day I talk with the supervisor over the phone who tells me sorry, but we can't work on the system because it needs rainsoft parts and we are not a dealer. I'll have to spend $12000 on an "upgrade". So I could have avoided all this if in the beginning they just said they would not be able to repair due to it being a Rainsoft system. Biggest frustration besides all of the above, they refused to refund the trip fee when I called to ask for a refund, which was a fair request, since they were not able to start any work through no fault of my own and the call out was based off them saying they could work on my brand of equipment in the first place. I would avoid them and call someone else. There are multiple other local service and repair options out there.

Had it placed back in 2020 great service then but they call me because I was due for maintenance great I payed 150 for them to come out and do the maintenance need than I was told I needed to replace silver liner which is 449 before they even did the maintenance. Great but right now I couldn’t get that done to I told them not this time. the tech told I might see my toilet stain yellow I was okay with that. This morning I wake up and my water is black I call the office the manager say his tech was informed wrong which told me the wrong information. Not yellow stains but black water. I asked the manager why wasn’t I informed about this the manager replied if I would have know your water was going to turn black today I would play the lottery. He didn’t know it would turn black today. I am p***** not that they didn’t know it would happen today but that it would not stain my toilet yellow but instead turn my water black. This is something they educated their staff about and not the customers be careful with a company like this! You should be told every thing upfront.

I have used Carter Water for a number of years. Their Teck's are always very friendly and knowable about their product. They have always answered my questions and explained what they are doing or done to my equipment.

It took the technician about an hour to fix the problems. The unit is working as specified.

All installations went as planned.   Very smooth!

They're very professional and very easy to work with. They were also very polite. They were great. I have nothing bad to say.

Carter came to my house and tested my water. He explained to me the condition of my water and built a system to treat it. The next day he and his technician came by and completely installed the system and explained everything in less than 3 hrs!

The installation went very well. The installation staff was very knowledgeable about the products and did a great job!

I have been dealing with Carter for three years. He is honest, polite and a pleasure to do business with. He doesn't use high pressure or gimmicks to earn your business. He shows up on time and does the job right the first time. If you are fed up with the dog and pony shows some of the water companies use to overcharge you then I highly recommend that you give Carter a call. It has always been great to do business with a small business owner that provides excellent service before, during and after the sale.
