They started work quickly. Then there were delays of several weeks waiting for the cement subcontractor to pour the footer. They eventually finished the project several weeks late. In pouring the footer, they damaged several of the lines to the pool, and I incurred significant expense getting them repaired. The pool enclosure looks great. They really did a good job aside from the damage to the pipes and the delays. However, they charged my credit card for the final payment without my authorization. I called to complain that I had not received a release of lien from the cement subcontractor, but they sent me a final lien release and told me it covered all liens. They lied. A few weeks later, the cement subcontractor placed a lien on my home because they apparently weren't paid for their work by Affordable Screen and Patio. As soon as I got the notice of the lien, I called them and told them and was told the owner would call me back. That was this morning, and I have yet to receive a call. At this point, I'm considering calling the credit card company and seeing if I can challenge the final charge until they resolve the issue with the lien. Again, they did a fairly good job on the enclosure, but the subcontractor never even called me to give me a chance to inform the contractor before placing the lien on my home. So, at this point, I can't recommend either Affordable Screen and Patio or the cement subcontractor. I won't be doing business with them again, and if you do, enter at your own risk.

THEY WERE VERY COURTEOUS, PROMPT AND PROFESSIONAL. THEY RETURNED MY CALLS PROMPTLY AND ANSWERED QUESTIONS THAT NEEDED TO BE ANSWERED. THEY STUCK WITH THE PRICE THAT THEY SAID IT WAS GOING TO BE. THERE WERE NO HIDDEN CHARGES IN OTHER WORDS.

We signed a contract January 17, 2005. We were told that the job would be done in August or September, at the latest. Then we were told after we paid the deposit, that it would be January or February of 2006 before the work would be completed and that we could not have a refund of our deposit if we wanted to cancel. In November, without notice, a crew demolished and removed the old enclosure. In doing so, they broke several trim tiles in the pool and broke a skimmer line causing the filter to fill with dirt. They didn't inform us that they broke this pipe and we discovered it after the pool started loosing excessive amounts of water. It took us two months to find a company that could come out and repair the pipe, tile, filter and bring the pool back to full operation. Affordable Screen said it was up to us to find a company to fix it. It was very frustrating and I had to miss work twice in order to be here for the pool repair company.

It took several phone calls to finally reach this company. Then it took several more to actually get them out to my house for an estimate. A total of ten months from first calling to complete repair to get the job done. The work crews left behind old screen and spline that I had to clean up.

WE WERE VERY SATISFIED WITH THEIR WORK. THEY WERE PROFESSIONAL AND COMPLETED THE WORK WITHIN THE ANTICIPATED TIME. THE EMPLOYEES THAT WORKED ON OUR PROJECT WERE VERY CONSIDERATE AND CLEANED UP AFTER THEMSELVES.

ALTHOUGH WE HAD TO WAIT A LONG TIME FOR THEM TO GET SCREEN MATERIAL, THEY WERE PROMPT FOR APPOINTMENTS AND DID A GOOD JOB. THEY CLEANED UP AFTER THEMSELVES.
