I sent an email with pictures of the damage. Phil responded within 24 hours stating he could fix it and what he thought the problem was. He asked for my contact information and we scheduled a time for a few weeks later (upon my request).
The day before the appointment, he called to confirm and give me a timeframe of when he would arrive.
On the appointment day, he called to say he was on his way. He arrived well in the timeframe he stated earlier.
When he arrived, he took a quick look over, gave me a rough estimate, and went to work. Once he got the back off the couch, he noticed more of the frame was broken/loose, so he fixed all of that for me.
I was charged $125. Totally worth it. I practically have a brand new couch again. Phil was very friendly, worked fast, went above what I asked for, and charged a very reasonable price. Highly recommend.
My husband had a stroke 11 years ago and lost his sight and the feeling in his right side. His recliner is very very important to him as he spends most of his day sitting in the chair listening to audio books from Florida Books for the Blind. Recently he has deteriorated physically and needs to sit with his legs elevated. The chair has become even more important to him.
Two days ago, I broke the handle on the chair. He could not get the footrest up. He was extremely uncomfortable.
I found Adams Furniture Repair on Angies' List and called them immediately. Mr. Adams had me take pictures of the handle and the inner mechanism and e-mail them to him so he could identify the parts he needed to repair the chair. The next day, Friday, he called me and told me he had the parts and would come to our home to repair the chair the next day, Saturday!! (I was sure he would say we would have to wait until Monday.) On Saturday, about 20 minutes after he arrived, the chair was fixed. My husband was thrilled and I no longer felt terrible about breaking my husband's chair.
Mr. Adams was extremely kind, friendly, understanding and personable. The price was very reasonable. We will recommend him to everyone we meet who needs his services. If ever we need the services his company offers, be sure we will call Adams Furniture Repair immediately!
This is the third time in four years that we have used Adams Furniture Repair. Each time, the furniture was repaired in our home, at a very reasonable cost, and without us having transport the furniture to a repair shop. The service was excellent, the repairs satisfactory beyond our expectation, and the jobs promptly scheduled and efficiently completed. It doesn't get much better!
By the way, they are located in Winter Park.
He returned her call promptly, said he would be able to come on a Friday or Tuesday depending on when he was in the area & would call her to let her know which day. She did not hear from Phillip on Friday so she was hoping he would still call. On Monday, he called stating that he would be able to come on Tuesday.
Phillip arrived during the time stated, very professional, looked at damage, and said no big deal & popped the springs back on. For $65.00!!!!
Phillip Adams just saved my mother (and our family) over $1000.00 from having to replace this piece of furniture.
YES! We will use again & we gladly recommend him to anyone.
