Southwest Car Unlock LLC Husband was locked out of my 2016 VW Passat with the keys in the trunk and called USAA and they dispatched this company. Originally we were told 30 minutes by this company not USAA- it took them almost 2 hours. USAA covers all of the expenses but this company proceeded to charge on top of USAA an additional 100 to open my car. A Passat is very sensitive in that it will lock down the car in an instant- if this operator would have fished to the trunk released, the security of the car wouldn't have kicked in, my husband explained this in detail and the operator pulled the handle, locking the trunk permanently. My husband asked for a key to unlock the back seat to pull down 3/4 split seat to access the truck and this operator wouldn't hear of it and said that he needed to make a key to get into the trunk at the tune of 300 and that the seats are bolted from the trunk and that there was no other way to access the trunk- VW Passat's don't have trunk key slots to open the trunk. We dismissed this company and had another come out within 30 minutes and had the 3/4 split seat opened in less than 90 seconds This company was paid money from our insurance company and still insisted on charging an additional 100 for attempting to gain access our car, but originally tried to get 300 for rekeying a blank (aka no computer chip key) that would never have worked because of the cars security package- all keys must come from Volkswagen. This operator wanted us to tow the car to the dealership to get the car key code then have it towed back to the location where we were locked out and then he could cut the appropriate - to the cost of 600 for a computerized chip key. It was early Saturday morning around 1:00 am. They are a rip off- and would rather pry my trunk open- won't have to because the second company gave me a tool to open the rear split seat
