A month ago, we'd been having our dry weather here and the water table has dropped, and somebody didn't install one of the wells properly there.?They only set the pump at 35 feet and the water table fell below 35 feet, then the pump got hot.? It didn't burn out, but what it did was, when you put in a well you put in the casing and then you set your pump down in the casing somewhere.?This casing goes down like let's say 70 feet so that you can set the well at 65 feet, but somebody set it at 35 and the water table went above that.? This pump heated up and it did something called an hourglass to the casing, which means if you can picture an hourglass, what happens is it narrows at one point and then your pump is stuck in there also.? Well this fellow didn't give up.? First of all, the first guy that I had said the pump was burned up and he gave me a price.? I go, wow.? If the pump's not burned up I'm gonna pay for a new pump and turn around and pay for whatever else is wrong.? So I got a second opinion and out comes Brad and he said your pump's okay.? He says I'm gonna pull the pump out and see if I can re-set it.? Then when he couldn't get it past that point, he told me exactly what happened.? And he said I cannot go any further; that's beyond my scope. I was recommended a drill company and they came out and immediately told me of a newer style pump.? They pulled the pump out, this newer style pump's a little bit narrower but provides as much pumping power, and I'm gonna drop it in there and secure it.? Then Brad came along and hooked up the rest of it.? Plus, he improved the jets around the, well it's like an agitator, and cleaned those and got the system running better than it was under who I had before.? That's the service this guy provides.? For price, he beat the former salt system guy substantially, so he gets an A there.? He does my monthly service; I've got a duplex up here, so he does both sides right now.
