The bill, handed to me when the job was done, came to 20% more than what I was quoted. When I questioned him on this, the owner explained that the glass cost twice as much as what he had expected. (He has owned the company for over 20 years.) I asked why he didn't call me when he learned of this. He told me that he didn't know it until the glass had been delivered to him. When I commented that I never knew a business person to order materials without knowing the cost in advance, he proceeded to scream and actually growl at me at the top of his lungs (right outside my house).
The owner had sat in his car the whole time that his employee replaced the glass, so whenever the employee needed a helping hand, guess who was called upon to help!! It was ridiculous. Never again. His employee was very professional and did a great job.
