I have a service contract with them and they come in twice a year. I pay on an annual basis. I think they are great. They are reliable. When you call they come the same day for service. I had to call them back after a service call. They had to resolve the problem and they just charged me for parts, they did not charge me for the labor so they gave me a break there. I have been using them for about two years.
I had signed up with Suter just a little over a year ago for semi-annual maintenance contract that they performed in a satisfactory manner to date. Today around 1PM after returning from a morning appointment we discovered that we weren't getting any cooling. I immediately contacted Suter and within 30 minutes a serviceman was here and 15 to 20 minutes later all was working. A capacitor had gone bad and was replaced at a reasonable price. I had expected to wait around all day waiting for service.
I couldn't have imagined service like this. I realize that I was probably a little lucky that things fell into place so well but in any case "my hat is off to the Chef" and thanks Suter for such excellent service.
My husband was impressed with how quickly David assessed the problem, explained everything to him, and changed it out fast. David didn't seem to mind my husband standing with him as he worked, and welcomed the questions he asked.
Originally calling several other companies, I got no answer, or was asked to wait forever in hopes of a call back.
David got back to us within 15 minutes of leaving a message with a live operator, on a Sunday, and was in a neighboring town finishing up a job.
He explained what the charge would be, and said he had about 80% or the parts on the truck, but, you never knew what it would need until you saw the unit and found the problem. He then waited for me to tell him what I wanted to do, and said at least you would know what was wrong, and he could get right back on the next day, a Monday.
I know getting a compressor, which amounts to a new air handler on a Sunday IS a hard thing to do and you don't carry one around in your truck, of course.
I said come ahead, and hoped it would not be a complete unit replacement. He could have told me we needed that, and I would not have known the difference, but, instead, as I said before, pointed out the problem, and told us what to expect in the future, and given how the unit was installed many, many years ago, how we could save with what might need replacing in the future.
We were very happy with his honesty and so happy we called this company, and because of the efficient way the problem was handled, we had half of our Sunday left to enjoy..... after all, it was our date weekend, so very important to us!!!!
