Quality Lawn and Pond

After the installation was complete we were very happy with the outcome.  Robert was paid in full.  Unfortunately, within a week or two some of the lights had begun to fail.  Robert returned and said that he had been having problems with those lights and he would get  some different lights from his supplier.  At first he took my calls and made excuses about the lights being availible.  Now he does not answer the phone and does not return my calls.  I have been patient and professional in all my calls and messages.  Since he removed the lights and has made no attempt to replace them, it is like he stole $480 from me!  I cannot in good conscience recommend him to anyone and I am considering taking action in small claims court.  It is truly a shame because the initial work was so well done.  His failure to finish his job has left my landscape project unfinished because I am not sure how much mess will be made to install the new lighting system.  Since it is Robert's responsibility, I do not want to hire someone else.  Now that we are no longer in daylight savings time I get little enjoyment from the water-feature we paid dearly to have constructed.

He initially did a good job.  I’m having a little trouble with his follow up.  I don’t want to disclose how much I spent.  He’s got a great imagination and I like that.  He can get things done in the beginning but he seems like he kind of slacks off later on down the road.  I don’t know if that has to do with him being busy or whatever, but I’m still a customer and I would expect customer appreciation.  He comes and goes when he pleases.  That’s pretty much common.  He does not like appointments because sometimes the appointment is at 10am and he might come at 10.15am.  So his punctuality does not come in the picture.  I’m going to use him or not in the future is on the border line right now.  There are lots of things that have been emailed to him twice.  There’s going to be some more discussions about that.  I will probably use his services again in the future.

They are here fairly regularly.  They did a water feature, which is just superb.  We love it.  They use quality products.  The plants bloomed immediately.  The plants are really mature and hardy.  We have had other work done over the years.  The quality of what they did was excellent.  He suggested cost-saving ideas.  We wanted freeze-tolerant plants, and he knew exactly what to do.  When I told him my vision, he knew right away.  He had the same vision that I had.  I could have gotten the work done for cheaper.
