Good. Although my friends laughed at me and said I should have planted it myself, I had a lot going on at the time and I opted for them to do it. Plus, the staff there were very knowledgeable when I first stopped in to find/purchase the tree. Rated the quality "N/A" only because tree was in its dormancy stage (think Charlie Brown Christmas Tree) when planted and I can't comment on its quality at this time; hopefully it will look like it's supposed to when fully bloomed. It would be nice for them to bring paperwork (type of tree, watering, etc) at the time of install for the owner to know what to do during its growth. Even though the gentleman verbally explained the watering process, this would be a nice touch. Just my opinion.

We decided to choose Wilcox Nursery because they "specialize in native landscapes with a natural and ecological emphasis." (this phrase from their website) We wanted to have plants that would be native to FL, attract birds and butterflies and be somewhat lower care once established. Paul Meyers designed the plan after viewing our property and talking to us about what we needed and how we wanted to use each area. We felt Paul did an excellent job of capturing what we were looking for. The final plan had a slightly reduced scope to keep the cost within our budget. Paul was sensitive to this and had good suggestions for how to achieve the same result on a reduced scale. The design included a 13 x 17 ft. paver area in the back yard that was installed by a company that works closely with Wilcox. (paid for separately) The back and side yards grass was removed. The grass was removed and the pavers were laid before the planting occurred on separate days. Pine straw mulch was used eventually as ground cover for these areas. Our entire landscape was transformed in one day. Most plants are small now but will fill in in time. All of the plants are doing well. The paver area is now a peaceful place for sitting and entertaining. The side yard plantings are concentrated opposite a dining room window so that we have something visually attractive when looking outside. One of the trees had an existing crack in a branch that wasn't noticed before it was planted. This was replaced without question. The crew that planted the landscape was excellent. They cleaned up the property when the job was completed. I even noticed that weeds had been removed in a side area and that old leaves and flower stalks on our bird of paradise in the front yard had been trimmed. The yard looked beautiful when everyone left. Zach and his team were great! We would recommend Wilcox Nursery without reservation. We were very pleased with their work and look forward to many years enjoying the new landscaping.

we initially did a $75 consultation with Paul (landscape designer) and Bruce (owner) to discuss existing plants and review my plant selections; they advised on what would work, what wouldn't, and made design suggestions - very helpful; once we decided to have Wilcox do the job, Paul was very patient, responsive, and professional in working with me when they either couldn't locate a plant that I wanted or I changed my mind about what I wanted; 2 installers were professional and productive, installing everything in less than 2 days; they'll be back next week when the drip irrigation is in place to finish mulching, etc.

I found a Florida native, drought tolerant plant at Wilcox recommended by the IFAS Florida-Friendly Program that I had been unable to locate at other nurseries.  I live an hour's drive away from Wilcox Nursery so I called in advance to see if they had this plant for sale.  The staff member knew their stock and told me I could purchase it there.  It was a pleasant experience and I enjoyed looking at the many Florida native plants they have available.  Most of these native plants are not sold at the big-box type nurseries or other plant sellers where many plants are sold that are not really any good for our Florida environment where the soil is - well, it is water wasting sand!
The plants were healthy and full and a reasonable price.  They are still going strong after a full year despite times of non-stop heavy rain alternating with months of drought here in Tampa Bay.  I am partially disabled and my plants have to be able to flourish on a bit of neglect!
The staff allowed me to wandered the aisles of fragrant plants but were helpful when asked.  Not all the plants are natives.
I wish other local nurseries would have more native plants that will do well for many seasons despite our harsh, changeable weather, soil with a lack of nutrients or water holding capacity, and root-nibbling nematodes.  But until they do I will cross Tampa Bay to find what I need at Wilcox Nursery and Landscaping.

We live in Largo.  If you cut down a tree in this town, you usually have to replace it.  Wilcox Nursery helped us pick out a couple of understory trees (Crape Myrtle and Black Ironwood) which are native to Florida, to replace the large oak tree we had to remove for safety reasons.  They were very helpful and gave us good instructions on planting and taking care of them.  I would not hesitate to call on them for help again, as they were very knowledgeable and patient.

I have been very pleased with their competency, kindness, and attention. We were looking to attract birds, bees, and butterflies with our landscape as well as reduce our maintaince and water costs. Not only his landscape plan meet all our goals, but Bruce's professional plan enhanced the look and value of my house. The front yard is growing in nicely and meets All my requirements. The back yard is shaping up to be the same. The nursery staff is very accommodating and knowledgable. Their stock hasn't failed us either. All the plants are vigorous and easy to grow. I'm a happy. It's always a pleasure to go shopping there.

We love working with Bruce at Wilcox nursery. Our goals were to have low maintenance and low water use while complementing the style of our house. We are very happy with the result, and appreciate Bruce's suggestions and guidance. We should also mention that Wilcox nursery stands behind their work. They have replaced a couple of plants at no charge that died or were dying. Sometimes it takes a while to get on their schedule as Wilcox nursery is very busy, but it is worth waiting to have them do the job.

Having moved down from Maine 4 weeks ago and not knowing the area, I am so happy with Wilcox. I took a planter in to have filled with flowers. It was over 4 feet long. The young man filled it with flowers, fertilized it and mulched the top. It was ready for me in a couple of hours. The price was so cheap that I thought I heard him quote me wrong. I will definitely be bringing my business here.

The scope of the work was epic as it included removal of a nature landscape, and installation of additional irrigation heads in order to give the trees, shrubs, flowers and plants a successful start.
Wilcox Nursery designed and executed our plan seamlessly.
Bruce spent time painstakingly detailing the blueprint, each native plant, its architectural structure in the plan and its unique benefit to the pollinators, birds, moths, bees and wildlife. It's a beautiful plan!
We look forward to phase two after the pool is installed and are so grateful to have added living and aesthetic value to our home and the wildlife community.

This was a very good experience. I wanted to plant my garden with plants that were slow growing and easy maintenance as I am not at my residence full time. They were helpful, listened well, gave me lots of options and my garden has been very successful. I liked the fact that they also promoted plants native to the area. I would be happy to recommend this company.

I had 3 orange trees that had to be removed, they were dying of citrus greening. I wanted native Florida plants so I called Wilcox Nursery. Bruce came out to the house, confirmed the trees had citrus greening. I showed him the other old planting I was going to have removed also and Bruce designed a fresh landscape for those areas. I met him with 2 more times choosing the exact plants for each space, he gave me 2 or 3 suggestions for the areas involved.

I had the trees and shrubs removed and scheduled a time for Jason from Wilcox Nursery to plant all the new shrubs and trees. Jason spent all of 1 day and part of another doing the work. He was prompt, a hard worker and knowledgeable about the plants and his work.

I have had several compliments on the plantings and the design. I am very happy with the outcome.

Everyone I dealt with from Wilcox Nursery was very knowledgeable about the plantings. I would not hesitate to use them again.

It went very happy because they are a very nice nursery. We actually spoke to someone a couple of years ago regarding some landscaping ideas. They are very helpful when we do need help in the past. They are very nice. Anytime you go there, somebody is there to help you very quickly. If not, they come and they'll let you know that someone will be with you. They give you time to browse if you don't want to be bothered and if you have questions, you can just ask them. The facility is very nice. I think they have a lot of room especially it's really nice to have that much room in an area that's very populated. They've been there for many years now and everything is sectioned very nicely and they have different plants in different areas. They are very knowledgeable. Whoever you speak to has a lot of knowledge on products. They pricing is very reasonable.

We received a low maintenance, environmentally responsible, BEAUTIFUL Florida Native/friendly landscape that provides wonderful habitat for butterflies, birds and other critters, as well as ourselves. From the design phase to the finished project, the attention to detail was superb and communication excellent. We requested some minor changes as the project took place which were accommodated without a hitch. No more pesky grass to mow and within a week the butterflies appeared. We couldn't be more pleased.

They had a nice selection of ornamentals and the plants I purchased were very healthy. The staff was courteous and willing to assist and answer questions. They had some unique bloom colors on what I would consider and quot;typicaland quot; plants (like pelagoriums/geraniums, etc.).
