They fixed the damage that another flooring company had done. They were so professional, and they sent a whole company to do it. They came in one morning with a crew of 5 and with all the equipment, and they taped everything off, so that they didn't destroy the rest of my house. They ripped off everything with the machines, and took it away, and by 4pm, everything was gone. They were recommended to me by my lawyer, after I went to him with the intent of suing another company that I had used. They helped me choose the hardwood flooring that I wanted.

Weiss Hardwoods did two different estimates for us, and provided a revision as to the second one at our request.  The estimator visited our home to take measurements in two rooms, and to test for floor moisture, which could be detrimental to a wood floor installation.  We also discussed at what stage of a redecorating process, Weiss should come in and install the floors (final decision, after the walls had been replastered and painted).  We accepted the second revised estimate, and placed a down payment with Weiss. The installers arrived one day after the set date, as the previous job they were on; involved wood floor repairs (a water heater failed) and the damage was more extensive than originally thought.   It is nice to know that Weiss offers such repair services not covered by warranty
The installers, while on the job, consulted with us as to wood board to wood board color interfacing, when necessary, to make sure that the coloring and grain met our approval.  We also were given the right of approval as to the color of the wood transitions from the wood flooring to the tile.  Some time after the installation was complete, my spouse thought two of the breaks (end to end) in the transitions pieces were not in appropriate areas, as the traffic pattern was heavy in those areas.  Weiss, to its credit,  scheduled an installer to visit our home and discuss the problem areas in the transitions.  As a result of that visit, Weiss returned and installed new and improved transition pieces that were not available at the time our flooring job was completed.  The flooring and its transitions could not be more beautiful in our estimation, as the users and owners.  We intentionally waited over one year to write this review, and to indicate our satisfaction with Weiss' work at this time,  We could not be more pleased with the finished installation over a year later.

WE USED WEISS BECAUSE THEY BID AN INSTALLATION JOB FOR A HOME WE'RE BUILDING AND HAVE A GOOD REPUTATION FOR NEW INSTALLATION. WE WOULD NEVER USE THEM AGAIN FOR ANYTHING. WE PROVIDED LEFTOVER MATERIAL AND DOCUMENTATION FROM OUR ORIGINAL FLOOR. THE SALESPERSON, BILL K, ASSURED US HE'S GET A GOOD MATCH. WE WERE NOT ALLOWED TO SEE HIS CHOICE BEFORE IT WAS INSTALLED. THE GRAIN OF THE NEW WOOD WAS A TOTAL MISMATCH. THEY MADE NO EFFORT TO MATCH THE PATINA OF THE OLD FLOOR. THE OVERALL APPEARANCE OF THE FAMILY ROOM IS GOOD, BUT THE HALLWAY IS TERRIBLE. THE WOOD MISMATCH REALLY SHOWS, AND A 5 SF AREA IS BADLY FINISHED WITH MANY BANDS OF SCRATCHES AND RIDGING / GOUGING VISIBLE. BILL K EXAMINED THE FINISHED FLOOR, SAID HE WOULD DISCUSS IT WITH JEFF WEISS. WE GOT A LETTER THAT IGNORED / DISMISSED ALL OUR COMPLAINTS AND DEMANDED PAYMENT. I'VE FILED A COMPLAINT WITH BBB.
