Bill did an excellent job of prepping the exterior for painting. Some areas of the trim he had to scrape and sand twice because the old paint continued to peel. The double front doors and sidelights were the worst because they had layers of old polyurethane that was in poor condition - peeling and alligatoring. It took Bill 2 days just to do the doors and sidelights. He removed all the door hardware before starting to prep the doors. He had to sand using different grits of sandpaper, then a sealer, a filler, 2 coats of primer and 2 coats of finish paint . The doors look great considering what he had to work with. Bill is an excellent painter with great attention to detail. He covered the plants and walkway before painting and cleaned up each day before leaving. You could tell he really cared about what he was doing. He said he paints for his customers as though he was painting his own house. He works alone so we didn't have to worry that someone on a crew wasn't doing what they were supposed to do. We are very pleased with the paint job. We hired him based on the positive experience my brother had with him and his price was right in the ballpark with two other estimates.
