They did a good job and it turned out very nice. They were very courteous and punctual; if they told me that they would be here at my house at 8 o?clock, they were here at 5 minutes before 8 o?clock. The price was very reasonable.

In August 2004 when the wall units were installed, I was very pleased. They looked great and seemed well made. They held, however, a hidden defect. In 2009, dry wood termites began to show their presence. These types of termites don't show themselves for about 5 years - and my problems were confined to the pieces made by Traditions. It was apparent that the wood used by Traditions was infested with the termites at the time of construction. Obviously, it had not been treated before or after construction. The only way to kill the termites is to fumigate the furniture if it is removable (or heat it to a very high temperature); or with built-ins, as is my case, fumigate the entire house - at a significant cost. I called Traditions - but they only offered to disassemble the unit - which was not possible for the lower pieces which were now a solid unit with a Cambria (stone) counter-top. I then e-mailed them and explained the entire situation and my need to fumigate the house - they did not respond. I have to think that if other people purchased furniture from Traditions in 2004, they might be having similar problems.
