Martha or Marsha Bujalski is the one I spoke with from Suncoast Renovations. I know they do other stuff but as far as my association goes with them, it was just the fencing part of it. It was a poor job that Ronell, the subcontractor does for them. She was responsive in returning my phone calls and she obviously got down on her subcontractors but at the same time, they are linked together. In fact, I had to look for her number on the internet and when I called her, she said that Ronell worked for them and they pulled the permits and she came out once. So I would give her the credit that she did try. She did prompt him to come out, four times after the installation to fix it. Her professionalism was high overall but they were her subcontractors and this guy is probably doing bad work everywhere, they just don’t get caught. The experience with Suncoast was pleasant but their choice on company they hire wasn’t. She was nice, conversant, pleasant and easy to talk to. She did take action by obviously telling him to do what he had to do and he wasn’t so much of a bully when he came back out the next time. So he changed his tune and so obviously she somehow brought him in line. They still didn’t do the job right, he is just incompetent.

Foundation and walls were concrete block, so framing required the use of various types of metal brackets and fasteners.  Also required complex tie-in with existing roof, gables, and new chimney.  Owner was very patient dealing with several on the spot design changes.

We were very pleased with the work, but it did take about 60 days for the protection to be made specifically for our size windows and sliding glass doors. Not sure if that is a normal wait time, but that is why we give them a "B" for punctuality. Other than that, we were very pleased with the service installation and the products provided. Fabric Shield is a PVC coated woven fabric panels that are Miami-Dade hurricane approved. Yet the panels are lightweight, easy-to-install and let light through. I store them in my garage rolled up in the original cardboard containers provided by Suncoast. The metal accordion shutters are permanently installed and are very easy to open and close, and include security locks to prevent unauthorized entry. Overall, we recommend Suncoast Renovations for your hurricane shutter protection.
