The owner of this franchise for rooterman is extremely rude. The rooterman franchise located Allard, Kaitlyn 12879 66th St Largo, FL 33773 The fact that they feel like as a customer we are nothing and be treated in anyway is absurd. Their owner as she stated we are not worth the hassle since I have to ask questions and I have concerns with them on their times. 2 years ago I had come into this company not knowing who the vendors were when I called them from paperwork I had found in the office, I was yelled at for asking if we had done business with their company and I was chastised and belittled. I stopped using Rooterman for a while and had decided I would give them another try later down the road. This was a mistake,they can never be on time, they think its a problem if you have questions you want answered as if you are the one being inconsiderate to ask them questions about their times of what they mean when they say they will be there between a certain time. When they are not in the right they fight back and state you are the problem not them.Terrible business and would never recommend rooterman to anyone.

Couldn't be happier! Ninety minutes from the time I placed the call on a Saturday afternoon Amber arrived, cleared the blockage, diagnosed why the blockage occurred and was on her way. Price was reasonable as well.

The technician showed up on time as promised (same day) and did the job without any issues. He ended up having to snake the drain from the roof vent. Still the same low price of $99 (or was it $74, I forgot). We had used Roto Rooter of Tampa once previously for a similar service and it was over $300. We called them first. Same high price to do the work, but they refused to do it without also replacing the faucet and the garbage disposal because the faucet was loose and the disposal was leaking. Both issues I wanted to deal with myself. So they were wanting to charge north of $800 with me supplying the faucet and garbage disposal! I said just clear the line. Fortunately the Roto Rooter tech refused and I called Rooter Man and got my drain cleared same day.

The first time he fixed it within a week we were having issues, we called him back to come out and repair the the fixture. This is when he used PVC on a metal fitting when trying to put together he tighten the pieces using the PVC to tighten he put too much pressure on it and cracked the fitting. After the second time of having the company come out it 3 or 4 weeks after we heard a noise and the discovered water was gushing from the unit. This is when the company refused to come back and resolve the issue. He said there was nothing else he cold do and implied it was my problem now.

Called Rooter-Man of Tampa Bay at 7:20am and was told service man could be at my home mid morning. Received phone call at 8:15am that service man would be at my home within the hour. The service man arrived at appoximately 9am. The gentleman doing the work was Adam and he wasted no time and was very professional. Adam kept me aware of his progress and completed the job sooner than I expected. He cleaned up after the water heater was installed and tested water temperature. He thanked me for using his company and told me to contact his company if there were any problems or issues. No one enjoys spending $600 dollars but this was about as painless as it can be.

Called originally for a toilet back up in November and they cleared the line. It worked great for a month and as luck would have it - backed up again on Christmas Day. once again they came to the rescue with a smile and quoted me on what was sure to be a lateral line replacement. I wanted to wait until after holidays. Another back up in January and we scheduled the work. Pete and his crew were not only responsive, patient and thorough - He gave me his home number after much ado with the city and a few inept city workers. He even talked to them directly to tell them how to do THEIR work! Pete's my plumber from here on out - unbelievable work and ethics. Haven't had a problem since.

Saw an ad on Angie's list for another company for $49 for a service call deducted plus $100 to be applied to service. When I called them they said that to install two toilets would cost $350 each, or $700 for two. So, after I pay $49 to Angie's list and take off $100, it would have cost me $650 to have my two toilets installed, or if they didn't charge a service call, $600.
I googled plumbers and saw Rooterman's ad for two toilets for $398. I called them. and they assured me that that was the full price including sales tax and removing the old toilets and disposing of them. I said OK and the lady said they could be out within an hour. The serviceman was and it took less than an hjour for the whole job. Very painless process. I did check to see that they were on Angie's list before I called them and they are.
I googled plumbers and saw Rooterman's ad for two toilets for $398. John came out in less than an hour from my call. Nice guy and knew what he was doing. Gave us an estimate for $229.00. I told him that was unacceptable after advertising $99,00 and sent him on his way. Before I could get back to Angie's list to find another, I got a phone call from their office stating they'd do it for $99.00.
John was back in no time at all, explaining $99.00 but no warranty. OK. He was here; the drain was clogged; so I OK'd the invoice.
From that point on, everything was exceptional. John was pleasant, thoroughly capable and cleared the blockage post haste. I'm sure I wouldn't need to cash in a warranty if offered.
I might use them again, in spite of the poor customer relations, but if it was something more serious, I'd surely get a second opinion. There may have been fine print somewhere that provided an exception to the $99, but when the ad says and quot;... any drain for $99and quot;, I'd hardly expect a $229 estimate right off the bat. It doesn't exactly build confidence.
I learned two things. 1. Don't accept the first quote if it differs from the advertised price, and 2. Mention Angie's List. I'm sure that made a difference.

Initially wanted to upsell me to $199 which had a warranty. Apparently the $99 job had no warranty. I asked what the difference was and he said second was more thorough. I said I'd had it done before and never heard of that. To never mind, don't do anything. He said he'd to a thorough job. Unclogged line. We'll see.
Nice guy. very fast response time. But attempt to upsell to what should be a standard clean out, which apparently is a company policy, was not what I needed to hear. Rooter can easily be put back and forth for an extra 10 minutes, so why charge another $100.

I woke up at 2 am to find water all over my floor. (my water heater had split in half). I opened my phone book and called several plumbers before I finally got Jenny from Rooter-Man of Tampa Bay to answer. She assured me she would have a technician there within the hour. When the plumber Terry arrived in 45 minutes not only did he ease my worries but he also replace my water heater and had a team to clean up the mess.
