I cannot say enough about this guy! He's the best I've ever seen. He does welding and painted wrought iron furniture. If everyone was as wonderful he is, this would be a great place to live. He's very rare. I would give him the highest ratings possible. Don't bother calling anyone else, this is the person you need!

Robert was great! Called me back and we arranged everything over the phone. Since I work, this was nice to not have to alter my schedule to be at the house to meet him for an estimate and then again for the job. He stopped by when he said he would-looked at the job and called back with an estimate. Told him to go ahead and do it. Showed up when he said he would, did the job and a little extra (for no extra charge). The gate looks much better, works well now, and locks. Thanks, Robert---we'll call you again when we need metal work!

The provider came out himself on Memorial Day weekend when the air went out in one of my rentals and my regular A/C guy was out on vacation. I thought I would end up paying so much more so when he said the bill was U N D E R $ 100 for coming out and spending most of the afternoon I was amazed! He was personable, did excellent work and was very knowledgeable where A/C work and Elec work was concerned. I just had 2, that's right 2 providers out during the day prior and that morning, one huge A/C company who said that I would probably have to run a brand new A/C line through the attic AND an electrician who said the same thing! I had gone on this list the week prior and found this guy who had come to change out some old plugs as well and he seemed like someone I could trust to go up and look at it and tell me what was up so I called him back when the other guys threw up their hands about it. This guy checked in the attic in what had to be 200 degree air up there to find the problem using a cool long remote camera thing that saw the nest up there and checked all of the wiring which was ok. He went back down really looked at the elec box and inside wiring, testing everything as he went along and he found a very simple problem at under $100 ! Land Sakes. He even repaired where the fruit rats had come into the attic at no charge and without me asking him to. The work Riffey did was a quality job by someone who obviously knows his stuff and cares about getting his own work completed correctly. Would I hire him again? Absolutely.

I called several companies to give an estimate for the application of a sealant to my mothers mobile home. It was a holiday weekend so I agreed for a Tuesday estimate. Robert Riffey was the first and only person to call me back. At 10am on Tuesday, he had already been to the house and had a very reasonable estimate. He was still in the neighborhood and took $$ off the estimate if I wanted the work done then. Robert Riffey was professional, finished the job in the time he quoted and even took pictures to show me the completed work. As he is skilled in many different areas, I would feel very comfortable in contacting him for any future work needed to be completed.

Robert was prompt and professional and offered options based on cost for us to consider. Once we agreed on work to be done and cost, he began the work within a few days. He and his helper were in and out in two days.

At first site visit he brought his son with him and talked big about all the work he could do to protect my new floors from a recurrence of the problem, but never provided me with a written estimate or breakdown of materials and costs. The first i heard of how much it was going to cost me was much more than i expected, over the phone, and i could barely hear him. On top of that he had me buy the flooring myself to "save money" - which, since I'm a very sick woman, was a lot of work and heavy lifting, especially since i had to change the whole plan and return all the tiles after hearing his first pricing. After this he became unreachable, always with an excuse, and not on time. He did a really sloppy job on the floors - one of them is still lumpy after a year, and did an even worse job with the caulking. He left a mess in my garage, and such horrible "finish" work it took a friend and me two whole days to rip out most of what he did, and repair it. On top of all this when he was finally done he presented me with a bill more than $100.00 more than the second price he had emailed to me ( with no breakdown) , on a piece of notebook paper. His protest was that finish work ( baseboards!) wasnt included! I strongly doubt this guy has a license, and i kick myself for not checking that out in the beginning and not refusing to proceed until i got a written, detailed estimate from him. He also cussed me out over the phone and hung up on me.

Officially is a general handyman as he doesn't have his general contracting license but he seems to know a lot more than the regular handyman. For instance he put in an iron hand railing on my front steps. I asked other handyman if they could do it and they refused and were afraid to do it but he did some welding. The other thing is that he is not the cheapest but it's a fair price. He knows some carpentry and electric work as well. The last thing that he did which I was impressed was the plaster repair as no one would ever know that there was a leak and he repaired it. Sometimes he is busy and if I call him, he doesn't call to update that he would be late and I won't know when he would show up but when he comes he does a good job.

He showed up on time. He took a good look at the leaks inside the home, then checked the roof outside. He used his phone to take pictures for me to see the damage on the roof. He gave me an estimate and did the work right away. This man is a rarity. He charged me for materials and a very reasonable price for labor. I think we should clone him, we could certainly use more repairmen like him! More than satisfied with the work-- problem is solved. I will recommend this gentleman to everyone.

He does a little more difficult duties that regular handyman. For example he has fixed a lamp for me, has put dimmers on my lights, and patched my ceiling. He also installed a railing, welded, and painted. He pressure washes, does painting, welding, etc. He is truly a handyman!
