Great company! I had Bahama storm shutters, awnings & upstairs deck railing installed in 2020 which was great work. The thing that I am most impressed about is that while prepping for hurricane Ian (09/2022) I had difficulty setting/closing the shutters, so I gave them a call. After explaining my situation, within 30 minutes a manager came over and to my grateful relief helped me lock them down. I highly recommend Pyramid Aluminum for their quality products, professional work and great responsiveness. Tricia

Once the installation was started the installers did an excellent job. They cleaned up well and the end products looks great. Unfortunately it took almost 4 months from when I paid my deposit until the screen was installed. It took multiple phones calls and a letter to even get put on the schedule. My advice is if you decide to go with Pyramid Aluminum is to get expected completion dates on the contract and be sure to follow up with them on a regular basis to ensure everything is on track. Wish I could rate the installers separate from the way the owner and project manager interacted with me but since I can not I am going to have to rate the company very low and I can not recommend them to others.

This was our first contact with Pyramid when Bob came out and saw the problems with our current enclosure.  He explained that they were at least two months out once a deposit was collected.  We made the decision to wait until after the first of the year to "get in line" so to speak because of tax implications.
On January 5, 2016  we went by their place of business and paid them the required deposit of $4878.00.  We were told that they would probably begin the construction about the beginning of March.  We received a phone call on March 14 telling us that they had gone down to the courthouse to file a building permit and that our current structure and not only was there no permit on it but that it was about 18 inches two feet past the allowable distance from the seawall.  (The cage was built two owner before us) This meant that as the owners we would have to apply for a variance and we would have to see to that before they could do anything further.
Three days later, we went down to the courthouse and spoke to one of the clerks in the permit office and pled our case.  She stated that she was "surprised that they (pyramid) had not asked to speak to someone in charge while they were there to see if it could be resolved without us having to come down."  As it turned out, all we had to do was to go home and take pictures of a measuring tape showing the distance between the edge of the cage and the seawall and she approved it so we could proceed with the project.  That was a Thursday and I spent the rest of that day and Friday calling asking that Scott or Wayne return my call

Sent e-mail Tuesday  3/22/16 **
    Wayne,

I am writing to express my irritation with both you and Bob
in regards to returning my phone calls.  Since about noon on Friday I have
called several times in order to let you know the outcome of our visit to the
courthouse and to expedite the starting of our long awaited pool cage.
Since we were told we had been grated the variance late Friday, you could have
had the needed paper in hand long before I was finally given a message by a
third person THAT I HAD TO CALL.   It is our hope that our pool cage
project will begin asap, certainly by next week,  If this should not be
the case, we would appreciate a phone call with an explanation and a FIRM date.
        Randy and Ellen Robins
Bob called that afternoon and spoke to Randy  even though I had answered the phone.  He was quite upset about the e-mailI had written but said the crew would be out to measure not the next Monday but the following Monday, April 4.  Although we had got the variance and I had been leaving messages since the previous Friday no one had called to let us know what to do.  Bob explained that he would ?probably? go get the building permit on Thursday and then we would have to wait for a few other things to happen before they could measure, but that it would probably be not this week but the following Monday.  REALLY?     AGAIN we had to wait for almost 2 weeks.
4/5/16    By the Tuesday after that day  we still had not heard from anyone so we called (are we beginning to see a pattern here?) and spoke to Bob who seemed a little confused. At first he insisted that someone had already been to our home to do the measuring, but we had not seen any one nor any indication that someone had been there when we had been away.  We were put on hold to check and then came back to say that someone was going to come first thing in the Wednesday to do the measuring, that the enclosure would be torn down on Thursday, the building at the shop done Friday and Monday and the install on Tuesday.
4/6/16   Three people arrived the next morning and informed us that we were having the enclosure torn down which had to take place prior to any measuring. Despite the fact we were not ready with things cleared off for them, they went to work.  They finished by the end of that day but unfortunately left us with a lot of debris in the pool including nails, screws, screen, and parts to the old enclosure. The pool was also filthy with residue from the gutters that were torn down (leaves and dirt).   We spent the next week dealing with that mess and having to clean the filter every few days. The person who was there helping with the tear down as well as to do the measuring told us then that we had to have some repairs made to the soffit as the previous structure had not been built correctly and had caused a great deal of rotting.  He couldn?t do the measuring that day because of that.
4/9/16 We were anxious to restart the building process so we had the necessary repairs to the soffit made the first day that our neighbor had off from work as a carpenter. (the next Saturday)
4/11/16  On Monday we called Pyramid Aluminum again to report that the repairs had been made and to find out when the measurements would happen and were told that they would not come out until the next Friday, April 15.  Both of us spoke to Wayne, the owner, who told us that ?there were some customers that had been waiting since November? for their pool cage and that the person who did the measuring for him had spent the weekend in the hospital.
I do not know what the final grade for this business will be because the job has obviously not been completed.  They did come on that Friday to measure which was pleasant surprise.   Scott was very professional and curtious and we could tell he knew what he was doing.  He even called us Saturday evening to get a few questions cleared up as he was working on our plans (YEAH!)  We are keeping our fingers crossed that we will have things well underway by the end of this next week and I will be able to report that our pool cage is complete.

I called for an appointment. They said a salesman would call back and schedule within 24 hours. They did. I made an appointment for Thursday the 19th at 9:00 am. I informed Bob that I had to leave by 9:30. He said he would try to make it a little earlier than 9:00 am. Bob did not show up until 9:27 am. I answer the door and asked Bob what time was our appointment he answer 9:00. I asked what time it was now (9:26). I said thanks for wasting my time and he replied thanks for wasting mine. What kind of response is this from a company who shows up late. They did not even bother to call to inform me they were going to be late. I will use another angies list company that can at the very least show up on time to quote a job.
Response from

"I read [removed member's name] review with great interest. His comments are not unexpected, but they are somewhat inaccurate. He is correct that he had a 9 a.m. appointment. However, he called our office at exactly 9:20 to complain that Bob had not yet arrived. Bob was immediately contacted and at 9:21,[removed member's name] was informed that Bob was in his driveway. At that point, [removed member's name] arrogantly told our office that because of that, he would not be using us and would inform Angie's List. He then confronted Bob, asking him what time his appointment was and what time it was "now", much as a parent would scold a young child who was late coming home. He then told Bob that he would not be using us and would inform Angie's List and thanked him for wasting his time. Due to the complete lack of respect and discourtesy displayed by [removed member's name], Bob did thank him for wasting his time as well. That response was understandable, but not appropriate, and we apologize for that. [removed member's name] then called our office and displayed the same disrespectful and unprofessional attitude. We told him that we were not interested in doing any business with him, and we stand by that decision. I am not understating the value of [removed member's name] time, but am asking that Angie's List members reading this review to bear something in mind. The vendors are people, just like you. They are not perfect, but are trying to do their jobs and meet the expectations of the Angie's List members. As such, they deserve to be treated with the same courtesy and professionalism that the members expect from the vendors, or moreover, that a person expects from any other person. They should not be put in a position of being treated as inferior because they are the vendors and not the members. There are times that despite their best efforts, things will go wrong. They will be late, they will not meet your price expectations, or any one of a thousand other things that will create disappointment in the member. They are not perfect. Regardless, each should treat the other with common courtesy and respect. We will continue to strive to do so in every encounter with all of our customers. We sincerely hope that [removed member's name] will find someone to do his job and meet his expectations and are sorry that we were not the company for him."

From start to finish this was a very pleasant experience!!  Everyone we dealt with including the installers were very professional and had a can do attitude.  I was super impressed with the quality and attention to detail in their work.  Any questions we had were promptly addressed.   I would absolutely use this company again and would refer any of my friends or family to them.

Communication is a struggle for this company. I started this review on 3/24/15 and it is tagged to the end of this one. Throughout the job process, communication was a struggle with Pyramid Aluminum. Calls often times went unreturned for days, and a week before the installation deadline an estimator showed up unannounced at the door. While he was here, he told me they were two weeks out on installs. I had already removed the old railing on my second story deck and I was in a panic trying to figure out how to deal with the safety issue during the wedding reception scheduled at my home. I asked him to have someone get back to me on the date of install and o one did. After a couple of calls, I finally got in touch with Wayne who told me I was scheduled for an installation the day before the contract deadline.

On the date of install, the team showed up later than promised, but got to work promptly and finished the job quickly. They were very professional.

3/24/15

This review could end up being a B or an F. I called several times before I connected with Bob Elliott and got him to come out and prepare an estimate. When he e-mailed the estimate, I called him with questions, and got no return call. I finally had to e-mail and demand that he call to get him to call me back. He called the next day, and we came to agreement so I told him I would drop by the next day with the signed contract and the deposit

When he was onsite, I told him that  the installation had be done prior to April 18th because I was out of town April 20-24 and had a party scheduled oink the 25th and I needed the railing installed by then. I also added that clause to the contract. We are less than two weeks from that date and I have no scheduled installation.

I called again today, and the woman that answered the phone said that the scheduler was out of the office but she would have him call when he returned. No one called.

If you can live with poor communication and waiting for days for a return call, this is your company.

They were right on time and they had enough men on the crew. They were done pretty quickly and they did a good job. I shopped a couple of different places and they right in the middle of the ball pack of the price. I had used them 10 years ago for my house that I live currently and they did a very good job then as well.

Both screen doors on our pool enclosure were in need of rescreening and repair, so we decided to get them replaced.  I called Pyramid and they were able to come out the next day to do the work.  About a week later I wanted the closer and sweep adjusted on one of the doors and they came out the same day to adjust them.   I have used this company several times and recommend them.
