"Thank you Mr. [Member Name Removed], we appreciate the opportunity to work with you and we appreciate your business and kind review."
Randy and Ellen RobinsWayne,
I am writing to express my irritation with both you and Bob
in regards to returning my phone calls. Since about noon on Friday I have
called several times in order to let you know the outcome of our visit to the
courthouse and to expedite the starting of our long awaited pool cage.
Since we were told we had been grated the variance late Friday, you could have
had the needed paper in hand long before I was finally given a message by a
third person THAT I HAD TO CALL. It is our hope that our pool cage
project will begin asap, certainly by next week, If this should not be
the case, we would appreciate a phone call with an explanation and a FIRM date.
"I read [removed member's name] review with great interest. His comments are not unexpected, but they are somewhat inaccurate. He is correct that he had a 9 a.m. appointment. However, he called our office at exactly 9:20 to complain that Bob had not yet arrived. Bob was immediately contacted and at 9:21,[removed member's name] was informed that Bob was in his driveway. At that point, [removed member's name] arrogantly told our office that because of that, he would not be using us and would inform Angie's List. He then confronted Bob, asking him what time his appointment was and what time it was "now", much as a parent would scold a young child who was late coming home. He then told Bob that he would not be using us and would inform Angie's List and thanked him for wasting his time. Due to the complete lack of respect and discourtesy displayed by [removed member's name], Bob did thank him for wasting his time as well. That response was understandable, but not appropriate, and we apologize for that. [removed member's name] then called our office and displayed the same disrespectful and unprofessional attitude. We told him that we were not interested in doing any business with him, and we stand by that decision. I am not understating the value of [removed member's name] time, but am asking that Angie's List members reading this review to bear something in mind. The vendors are people, just like you. They are not perfect, but are trying to do their jobs and meet the expectations of the Angie's List members. As such, they deserve to be treated with the same courtesy and professionalism that the members expect from the vendors, or moreover, that a person expects from any other person. They should not be put in a position of being treated as inferior because they are the vendors and not the members. There are times that despite their best efforts, things will go wrong. They will be late, they will not meet your price expectations, or any one of a thousand other things that will create disappointment in the member. They are not perfect. Regardless, each should treat the other with common courtesy and respect. We will continue to strive to do so in every encounter with all of our customers. We sincerely hope that [removed member's name] will find someone to do his job and meet his expectations and are sorry that we were not the company for him."
Communication is a struggle for this company. I started this review on 3/24/15 and it is tagged to the end of this one. Throughout the job process, communication was a struggle with Pyramid Aluminum. Calls often times went unreturned for days, and a week before the installation deadline an estimator showed up unannounced at the door. While he was here, he told me they were two weeks out on installs. I had already removed the old railing on my second story deck and I was in a panic trying to figure out how to deal with the safety issue during the wedding reception scheduled at my home. I asked him to have someone get back to me on the date of install and o one did. After a couple of calls, I finally got in touch with Wayne who told me I was scheduled for an installation the day before the contract deadline.
On the date of install, the team showed up later than promised, but got to work promptly and finished the job quickly. They were very professional.

This review could end up being a B or an F. I called several times before I connected with Bob Elliott and got him to come out and prepare an estimate. When he e-mailed the estimate, I called him with questions, and got no return call. I finally had to e-mail and demand that he call to get him to call me back. He called the next day, and we came to agreement so I told him I would drop by the next day with the signed contract and the deposit
When he was onsite, I told him that the installation had be done prior to April 18th because I was out of town April 20-24 and had a party scheduled oink the 25th and I needed the railing installed by then. I also added that clause to the contract. We are less than two weeks from that date and I have no scheduled installation.
I called again today, and the woman that answered the phone said that the scheduler was out of the office but she would have him call when he returned. No one called.
If you can live with poor communication and waiting for days for a return call, this is your company.
