My review has not appeared on the Performance Air primary site which consists of positive reviews, so I'll try to replicate here. I've also contacted the BBB. Company ads indicate "service 24/7" which is misleading. Yes, you can speak w/ someone at the company, but they can't or won't send a tech 24/7. Our a/c went out Sat evening, 9/16, and they said someone would be out Tues, 9/20. When I said that won't work they scheduled us for the next day, Sunday, between 10a and 2p. Needless to say they didn't show. I called dispatch to see when someone would arrive and was told the tech was delayed on another job. Finally about 5:30p I was told "you're not on the schedule." A wasted day in the heat when I could have called someone else. Our Trane unit (bought from Performance) is less than 8 years old and is maintained only by Performance Air via a service contract. The company is eager for us to replace the unit. When Trane and other brands are properly maintained they typically last much longer than 8 years. The company overcharges on parts, which I've called them out on and had the price reduced (check the records if they'll let you...you have our permission.) Hughes Gulfport FL

This company provides the employees with such poor equipment that two techs were unable to find leak in our system in the spring so they said it must be fixed "somehow". Months later after our AC wasn't working well again, a third tech, that had purchased his own equipment came and found the leak. They charged us for coolant a second time even though it wouldn't have been so low if they had found the leak the first two times they came out months ago. No one from the local office will call us back to discuss the issue. We got stuck with this company after they bought the company we used to install the system so our warranty is through them but even with "parts covered under warranty" their quote just for the labor to fix the leak was more than another companies quote for parts, labor and to fill our coolant. Then they responded to my review on Google by stating that they "are pleased we were able to resolve your concerns to your satisfaction" when they have not resolved the issue in any way!

So far four technicians have come to our house, and we still do not have any air in June in Florida! We had air before they came to do a routine inspection. It’s going on 48 hours with no air with children and pets. Today they left and said call the manager only to find a “mailbox full “ message.

Do not hire this company. They have poorly trained technicians that will misdiagnose your AC problems, fumble through basic maintenance calls and if you ever need a manager, they will not call you back. They also overcharged 3X what other companies charge for the same labor. I would not let them anywhere near my AC ever again.

I was so satisfied with Performance Air conditioner service. The tech, Garret, was very knowledgeable and professional. He repaired my A/c and provided me with pictures and notes so I could forward to my Son who has a HVAC business in another state. He too, was impressed and advised me to continue to use them when problems arise. I took his advice and purchased a service contract. The cost was less than expected and the service was much more than I expected. Performance Heating and Air is top notch in all areas.

Over 20 visits in 2 1/2 years & I needed to get a second opinion & the whole AC to crash to get them to take responsibility of a bad coil. They came out two days ago with supposedly a new coil that was leaking also. Very Disappointed!

If you want constant repairs along with after 2 1/2 years have them not take responsibility on placing a bad coil in a new system go with them. Make sure you have a second opinion on the coil within a year or you will be held responsible.

Performance AC came out to unclog a drain on the 22nd of Nov. I thought the problem was solved and got sucked into a year membership with them. With that year membership they set up an appointment to have the drains inspected with a camera (dump move on my part). The camera found a blockage that had been there for a while, but instead of fixing the issue, they suggested repairs estimating from $10,000-$30,000. They worst part about getting the estimate is they were pushing us to make our decision right then and there. So as of now both toilets are blocked and they refuse to come correct their mistake without charging us. Awful customer service and wouldn't recommend this headache to my worst enemy. They are absolutely horrible. If I could prove it, I will tell the people not to use them. The Freon is leaking and the person who did the maintenance increased the pressure. Only one of the air handlers is working.

I had severe electrical issues and i wasn't even aware of it. A breaker wouldn't reset so called an electrician. The tech was out same day and diagnosed my problem right away. He was professional and understanding as he walk me through his findings. Although i was not expecting to need so much work done I'm grateful I call Performance. They gave me affordable payment options and performed the work that day. I never new how bad my service was until it was fixed. Now everything works better and my lights are even brighter. Go figure! The unit is wired incorrectly based on the model according to mfgr instructions. They made 1 attempt to resolve, and fixed the wrong thing - not the prirmary issue. My "Clean Air" unit which is supposed to cycle with the Fan does not, leaving a choking and eye watering ozone when the unit kicks on. I attempted to get this resolved for about 3 weeks with ZERO return calls. I reached out to MFGR who said he knew they were busy, and now almost 3 months in and after paying $3k, my unit STILL IS NOT CORRECT. I had other work done which was executed fine, but this bury your head in the sand approach doesn't give me any warm fuzzies.

When I mentioned this to them, they heeded my membership and extended it for another year. Work done was great...but it was several hundred dollars. My unit is only 8 years old! After purchasing my condo several months later the air conditioning went out. Contacted the company who immediately responded they came out and evaluated the situation. They offered me several options I opted to replace the unit since it was over 22 years old. Being that it was hot they sent out another team with two portable units so I would be comfortable until they could replace the unit the following day. While they were here I mentioned that I had a few other things that needed to be done and they sent out another team. Everyone was professional efficient and courteous. I have recommended them to others and my neighbor was very pleased with their service. Are very reliable professional company.

This company treats customers like they matter. Their staff has always acted in a professional manner. They are skilled in their trade and knowledgable about cooling and heating. I've used this company since 2016 when they installed my new outside heat pump and new coil, etc. We have spent 10s of thousands of dollars with this company over last 4 years or so but I love my new system. It has proven to be more efficient than the old one which equals savings for me on my electric bill. Check them out!
