Mister Sparky

Paul arrived at our house as scheduled on Friday, 27 January, and listened to us explain everything we wanted to do. Then, he did a safety inspection and identified some problem areas and things we needed to do to bring our house up to current code. Paul gave us a comprehensive 3-page estimate and went over our payment options. When we found out we could arrange to pay "18 months same as cash," we opted to do all of the work identified in the 3-page estimate/work order. Paul immediately started the work on Friday while he was here and worked straight through until about 6 p.m. Paul said he'd be back with a helper on Monday & Tuesday and they'd get the work done. Both days, Paul & Zach showed up around 9 a.m. and worked until about 6 p.m. with only 1/2 hour for lunch. They cleaned up every day before they left, they kept us informed at all times, and they were extremely helpful and accommodating. When everything was completed, Paul & Zach took us around to make sure everything was done to our satisfaction. Our neighbors even commented how the guys stayed busy and acted in a professional manner at all times. We were extremely happy with the work done by Paul and Zach from Mister Sparky Electric and would highly recommend them.

I called for an estimate and was given one that was over $1800.00. That was over 7x what I ended up paying to get it done from another electrician. That estimate also was predicated on punching holes in the walls of my house just to make it easier on them. Not at all desirable.

Henry was very professional yet friendly; he cleanly explained every time to me even spoke with my son by helped me to explain everything to him; Henry has a great attitude!

Trent was great. He was very knowledgeable and highly professional. We had safety problems and it was going to be an expensive job. At first we agreed to have it all fixed and put down a downpayment. Next day we decided we weren't financially ready to do it. Trent tried to give us other options like financing but we couldn't do it. He was never overly pushy. He was honest and tried to give us the facts. He was polite and helpful. Trent represents his company very well. He communicates well with his clients. It was nothing Trent said or did or did not do that made us decide not to have it done. We just were not reafy financially to do it. We were sorry we were not able to have him do the work because we felt sure he was very qualified to do the best job. We felt Mister Sparky Electric is very good company and would recommend them highly.

It was a little expensive, but it went very well. We found out whoever put up the original didn't mount it properly. It wasn't even secured. It was a miracle it didn't fall on my head! Since then, it works great!

They showed up within hours of calling for an appointment -- unheard of for some service providers; They were a few minutes off from the estimated arrival and despite that, I am thoroughly impressed with these guys. The expertise, courtesy and professionalism more than made up for it. They cleaned up after themselves, tested everything and were quite thorough in explaining the warranty, the work they were going to do and the safety evaluation they performed as a part of their service. I will use them again. Overall, I felt it was a good value for the work performed based on research of what I could expect to pay for these services.

Buyer beware - did not fix what was asked - called to complain - they never followed up on the call and never tried to make it right - I would never use these people

It went okay. It was timely. The man was very nice and he was doing the best he could but he didn't configure it all at first. He tried everything to be able to fix the problem.

It went okay. Took a long time to figure out what was wrong and ended up costing me almost 5 or $600. They came out three different times. They couldn't find out why it was burning the breaker so they replaced the breaker the first time, second time they replaced all the outlets in the room and then the third time they found the source was in the ceiling. The man was very nice, he was doing the best he could but he just couldn't figure why at first. I just wish he would have been a little more thorough on the first visit so I wouldn't have to pay so much over and over again to get things replaced in order to get the electricity to work properly.

Great, the young man was very courteous and professional.

The techician was very polite and seemed knowledgable. He found an outdoor outlet that had burned out and caused the other outlets to not work. He fixed the outlet problem and recommended smoke detectors which he installed well. He also suggested that my outdoor electrical panel needed to be refurbished due to corrosion. I told him to go ahead and refurbish the electrical panel. I was satisfied when he left and thought everything was good. However, later in the day I realized one of the the ac systems in my house was not cooling. It's upstairs and I hadn't been up there. I called my ac man and he checked it and said the system was fine but the circuit breaker to that system was not working. I called Mr Sparky and tried to explain the situation and that a specific part was needed (not generic) but all I ended up with was an appointment on Monday without any of the information about the specific part and connection to the previous visit. I think this is a large company and they dont let the phone people take enough information in this type of situation. I am cancelling the Monday appointment and will get the electrician at my ac company fix it. I think Mr Sparky should have a better way to triage their problems. Working people need a more efficient system to get their problem resolved.

They peformed the job for the quote of $6000. When the inspector came to the house to inspect the new electrical service at the pole he said it was not up to code AND that had grossly overpaid. I called another MASTER electrician electrical contractor. He said the MAXIMUM i should have paid ON THE HIGH END was $2800 and that the work was not up to code and the inspector had missed some items - such as using DRYWALL screws instead of electrical and not installing the bridge. I have already filed complaints with the Florida STATE Attorney's CONSUMER PROTECTION division and the BBB. There are fair pricing laws in Florida! Futher, - They worked on my water heater and never sent me an invoice, no showed the first appointment and took 3 days to return my house key. They gave my house key to someone I had NOT authorized to work on my house and had not even met!

Bad. If things could not be done at night and I'm sure they known better than that, what was the whole point of came to my house and said wait until tomorrow and then charged for the road trip $129.00. They quoted the price way too high that I would rather just throwing the money away than hiring them to save money on the road trip. I've got somebody else did the job for 1/3 price and he did very good job. No, I will never hire this company ever again.
