When I was unable to remove a trigger lock from a handgun, I took it by the Largo Locksmith. Within a few minutes, he was able to get the lock to release, after which he removed it from the gun. I bought a couple of replacement keys and was charged only a small amount of money for his time and the keys.

I recently had a renovation done to our home that added two new doors. I purchased the door hardware from Home Depot and had them key the two new door locks and two new deadbolts to match the key on the existing front door. The General Contractor installed the new doors and door harware. The new door hardware worked marginally. Sometimes the locks and keys worked but most of the time they did not. I had new keys made at Loews and at new keys at Ace Hardware but the problems continued. I sought out Locksmiths on Angie's List and selected Largo Locksmith based on their reviews and their proximity. The technician explained the problems and cut a key for the existing door that matched the Manufacturer's specifications and then fixed the other four locks to match. Their responsiveness and professionalism were excellent. Their price was quite reasonable as well.

Called yesterday to state my problem with my patio door. Largo Locksmith came out within an hour to view the situation and suggest a lock; Tech ordered what I needed immediately from the distributor and then he arrived this morning and installed it. Even the dispatcher at the company who was listening to my initial conversation with the tech on the phone was able to give a good opinion. Actually, I use the computer a lot so while we first spoke on the phone, I was able to look up their suggestions by going to websites... and they took the time to walk me through alternative locks to view so I had a pretty good idea of one I wanted. Then they confirmed the door by viewing it before they installed the next day. Fast, efficient service.
These people care. Pauel was my tech.

When I've done business with the REAL Largo Locksmith that's been around for 40 years, they were prompt, reasonably priced, did the job quickly, had a fully stocked truck, and obviously knew what they were doing.

Well except drive from Locksmith office to site of work was about one mile and Largo Locksmith charged $55.00 compared to same service three years ago of just $22.50. Labor was about one hour and the charge was $70.00 compared to just $20.00 three years ago for identical work.

IT WAS A VERY TIME CONSUMING AND HAIR RAISING EXPERIENCE. I TOLD THE MAN IF HE SHUT THE DOOR AND THE LOCK HE HAD JUST PUT ON DIDN'T WORK, I WOULD BE LOCKED OUT. WELL, HE SAID IF THAT HAPPENED HE COULD GET US IN. THE LOCK FELL APART LIKE IT DID BEFORE AND I WAS LOCKED OUT THE HOUSE. I FEEL I WAS OVER-CHARGED FOR THE SAME $10.70 LOCK THAT WAS PUT IN NOT EVEN 2 YEARS AGO.
Response from Largo Locksmith, Inc.
"We are sorry to hear you had a bad experience in Feb 2006. The original owner retired and sold it his son-in-law who had no experience in the industry. He then sold the company in Sept 2006. The current owner and employees are no relation to him or the original family. We welcome the opportunity to serve you properly."

TECHNICIAN WAS VERY POLITE AND CONSCIENTIOUS ABOUT GETTING THE WORK COMPLETED TO OUR SATISFACTION. HE MADE ALL THE ADJUSTMENTS THAT WERE REQUIRED TO HAVE THE NEW LOCKS OPERATE SMOOTHLY. HE ALSO EXPLAINED HOW THE MECHANISMS, THE DEAD BOLT AND LOWER LOCK WORK TOGETHER TO SEAL THE DOORWAY FIRMLY. WE WOULD USE THEM AGAIN AND HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM. THEIR PRICE WAS LOWER THAN OTHERS CALLED FOR ESTIMATES. WE GIVE THEM STRAIGHT A'S ACROSS THE BOARD.
