They were very responsive and their prompt attention to fixing our air conditioner. They did the repairs within one day once the part came in. I would definitely hire them again.

Right at the end of June ,with the summer picking up speed, my condo A/C unit went out. It was quite old. (1996) Indian Rocks came and gave me a fair quote. I knew I could probably get it done a little cheaper but I also knew it really was a fair quote and others would charge more. Since they already have a great reputation in our condo and I knew they knew this building well, I decided it is better to just get it done right than pinch pennies especially when I knew the new inspection codes had changed. They got it done quickly , (they sent a 3 man crew which was nice because it sped up the process), the inspectors said it passed inspection just fine, and I have already notice the electric bill is significantly lower than any summer since I bought this place 4 years ago. Indian Rocks Heating and Air does business the right way. I will be using them for my annual tuneups in the future.

Horribly. New defective system installed on my "senior" mother's home, with "service bulletin" oil additive servicing required (advised by the manufacturer) within the first 3 months of installation for system not cooling. The son of Indian Rock's Heating & Cooling’s Owner Steve, indicated on the first "bulletin/recall" servicing visit that they "had to remove two of the same units from an owner's home on the beach that they installed due to the issue”. They assured me the serving would fix the system not cooling my Mom's home. They did this routine a total of approximately 6 visits in 12 months & additionally would not provide paperwork for the visits (except the first one), even after multiple requests including certified letters. The system has never cooled fully, & we’re over 2 1/2 years in now. We performed FULL re-insulation of my Mother’s home, as well per Indian Rocks & the American Standard Representatives additional recommendation. This changed nothing. We also spent this Spring over $1400 in "labor" on a broken COIL (part under Warranty, not labor), by a new company, as Indian Rocks Heating & Cooling & it’s owner Steve, washed their hands of this faulty, since installation, system they installed, & will no longer respond. Office Manager Mona has actually apologized! We've been communicating w/ American Standard Trane for over 18 months now & they are slow as molasses, & blatantly attempting to evade liability, not wanting to open a can of worms nationwide with their partner "Copeland" due to this known defect with Copeland Scroll compressors & the TXV. Bottom line - the system was "serviced" approx. six (6) times by Indian Rocks Heating & Cooling with bulletin "oil additives”, & each time the system worked fine a couple months, then reverted to the same issue of not being able to cool the home. I actually joined Angie's List solely for purpose of reporting this company's faults to the public. Indian Rocks Heating & Cooling it's been indicated to me, is responsible to deal with the manufacturer directly for any defects, not wash their hands of a problem (& a 25 year client), stemming from just a scant amount of weeks of a new system installation.

Excellent! On time, competent, timely, and professional from the initial call to the final appointment for the repair. They have been our A/C Professional of choice since 1997.

Noticed unit was loud
Did not open to explore.
Only suggestion was prepare to replace.
Really? How about a discussion of options?
My electrician looked later and said the grill protecting the coils needed to be cleaned - guess that was not part of service call!
Had another HVAC company come out - diagnosed problem in 2 minutes - repaired in 5 - noise gone.

The visit on 3/19 went well. After doing the tune-up the tech checked the type of air filter I had, went and got one, and came back and installed it.My complaint is not about this action but how long it took to get it accomplished. I guess you could say customer service is my problem. I had a new system installed in Dec 2012 and about 6 or 8 months later I called for them to do a tune -up and replace the air filter. The tech came and did the tune-up and checked the filter. He asked if I wanted him to get a new filter and install it and I said yes. He said he would call when they had the filter. I waited seveal months more and no word from them. I called again and gave the girl what I thought was the part number for the filter and she said she would call me when it was available. I waited about a week and called again and explained the past problems to a different girl who arranged the 3/19 appointment and now all is well. It appears that the part number for the filter that I gave them was from a cardboard cover over the filter and was incorrect.
All has been resolved now but follow-up on customers who have had new system installations is lacking and communication between the techs and the office staff is also inadequate. These are all indications of poor customer service and could easily be corrected so the customer feels he is valued by the vendor.

I was up north for the summer when the unit broke. They worked with my neighbor to fix it. They talked to my neighbor to arrange a time and then left a bill for me. I told them they could mail it to me because I would not return for two months, but they left it for me anyways. They are very accommodating and I really appreciate their service.

All appeared to go well until the system shut down two days later. It was discovered that the drain line did not have enough pitch and the water collected in the pan. That was corrected the nex
t day and all has been well.Lorelei K.

I called on a Friday morning at 8:00 and explained that we had been without air condtioning. And that I was recovering from surgury and needed someone to come out and figure out what was going on with our unit for it was freezing up.
By 8:15 I received a call back that they would try to get someone out before the end of the day.
At 4:05 Mark showed up...found the problem within about 10 min. and got us up and running for the weekend. He told us that it was only temporary and that he would have to order the part that was under warrenty and would call early next week.
They called on Tuesday and Mark came out and fixed the system in no time.
I will never use the other company again! From now on it will be Indian Rocks Heating & Cooling who ROCK'S!

The owner of the company, Mr. Steve Miller, came to my house the next day at the appointed time. He was very courteous and professional. He gave my entire system a thorough inspection, said everything was looking good which was a relief to me. I was charged the advertised flier price with no upcharges or trip charges. I have dealt with other companies in the past who tried to charge more once they came out. This was not the case with Indian Rocks Heating & Air.. The flier also advertised that they do heating and air purifying, both which I was not in need of at this time. I was extremely impressed with Mr. Miller and his company, I will definitely use them from now on for any air conditioning needs.

I am very satisfied with the work and cost. Mr Miller came recommended by a family member but he still won the bid based upon professionalism, clarity of work, good suggestions for better operation and COST! The work crews were courteous, hard working and kept me informed on status and expectations. I was not billed until after the work was largely completed to my satisfaction. While I hope not to need another installation of A/C for many years, I will have no difficulty what-so-ever in recommending "Indian Rocks Heating and Cooling" to one and all. Excellent Service and price!

Seemed to go OK until he went into the attic to check the upper coils and condenser drain. He went outside for a while. When I went into the garage, water was streaming through the ceiling drywall. I shouted and put a bucket beneath it. It ran about ten feet from the unit before coming through the ceiling. After he left, we asked for someone else to be sent out, which was done. We also had the water damage remediation man come out. Multiple fans were run for several days. It cost us $180 for this. We received no apology from the heating and A/C personnel.
