1. untruthful - I was told that they match Internet pricing. This is not true. I don't mind if a store doesn't match Internet pricing everyone is initialed to make a living; however, I do mind if they say they do and don't. This is bad business practice. I found the same chandelier they had on display on line for $40.00 less. The older women that answered the phone was rude when I inquired about the difference. She said, "it is what it is" - then she asked the manager about it. He wouldn't match it either. He said, "they don't offer a warrantee" - they do and free shipping as well. He still wouldn't honor the match and was curt.
2. No one answers the phone. I had to call at least 7 times to get a person on the line.
4. No respect to repeat customers.
Please understand that it is not about 40 dollars. It is about the treatment I received and the handling of the situation.
I went to a similar lighting store in St Petersburg and was treated respectfully. I got the same chandelier for $30 less than House of Shades without any Internet match advertising. And, they answer the phone with courtesy .
"Yes we do match Internet pricing as long as they are authorized dealers and represent the manufacturing company and if so they are only to sell merchandise at what we call IMAP " Internet pricing " And that is what we go off. We were probably very busy at the time he kept calling but after we've told him the first or second time we could not do that, I do not understand why he would continue to call. As far as the lady behind the counter she does not have authorization to change any pricing in our company, we are a company that has been around for 18 years and have a great following,clientele that are very happy as you can see from other responses."
"We do not resell merchandise that has been installed nobody wants to be purchased something that has been put up and installed our manufactures have Policies to ensure that the customers gets uninstalled new merchandise We sent this customer home three times to make sure it will fit before we sold it to them when they came back to purchase we told them if they installed it was not returnable"
