"WE WERE CONTACTED BY THE MEMBER TO GIVE HER AN ESTIMATE FOR HER BATHROOM. THE BATHROOM WALLS HAD A COATING ON THEM, THEY WOULD HAVE TO BE RE SKIMMED AND THEN TEXTURED. WE ACCOMMODATED HER WITH A QUOTE OF $750 FOR THE BR. THIS INCLUDED THREE COATS OF DURABOND OVER EXISTING WALLS, THEN APPLY A KNOCKDOWN TEXTURE. COVER ALL FLOORS, BASE MOLDING, DOOR CASING, TILE, SINKS AND EXISTING CEILING. SHE TOLD ME THAT SHE WOULD PREP THE WALLS AND ASKED HOW MUCH IT WOULD BE FOR US TO JUST DO THE TEXTURE. I TOLD HER THAT AS LONG AS THE WALLS WERE PREPARED IN THE CORRECT MANNER THERE WOULD BE NO PROBLEM, WE WOULD COME OUT AND TEXTURE IT. SHE STATED THAT THE WALLS WOULD BE PREPARED IN THE PROPER MANNER. AFTER AGREEING TO THIS THE REVISED PRICE WAS QUOTED AT $250 FOR THE TEXTURE. WE SENT OUT ONE OF OUR EMPLOYEES TO TEXTURE THE WALLS. THE WALLS LOOKED TO BE SKIMMED AND LOOKED TO BE ADEQUATE. WE SPRAYED THE TEXTURE ON. THE PERSON WHO DID THE WALL PREP PRIOR DID NOT USE THE CORRECT MATERIAL, SO THE TEXTURE STARTED TO FLAKE OFF. AT THAT POINT, SHE BECAME VERY ANGRY AND SAID WE DID NOT KNOW WHAT WE WERE DOING. I CAME BACK TO LOOK AT THE WALLS. WE FIXED THE WALLS THE CORRECT WAY AND RE SPRAYED TEXTURE. I LOOKED AT THE WALLS AND TO MY KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE THE WALLS LOOKED PERFECT. WE PERFORMED OVER AND ABOVE WHAT THE SCOPE OF WORK WAS. SHE WAS STILL VERY ANGRY. I OFFERED TO GIVE HER THE MONEY BACK. OUR COMPANY BELIEVES THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT. AT THIS TIME SHE BECAME ARGUMENTATIVE WITH ME. I EXPLAINED THAT IF THERE IS ANYTHING I CAN DO, WE STAND BEHIND OUR WORK, GIVE ME A CALL. I BELIEVE THAT SHE WAS ANGRY WITH HERSELF MORE THEN MY COMPANY BUT THAT IS MY OPINION. JOE ROMANO-PRESIDENT"
"DOWN UNDER PROPOSED TO INFILL AND APPLY HEAVY ORANGE PEEL TEXTURE AT WALLS THROUGHOUT. THE INFILL WAS SPRAYED WHICH WAS THE WRONG TECHNIQUE FOR THIS JOB. WE SUBSEQUENTLY REMOVED THE TEXTURE, CLEANED THE AREA AND OFFERED TO RETURN THE FOLLOWING DAY TO RE-APPLY THE TEXTURE USING THE PROPER TECHNIQUE; THE OWNER AGREED. WHEN OUR WORKMAN ARRIVED AT THE SITE THE NEXT DAY, THE OWNER HAD CHANGED HER MIND. AT OWNER''S REQUEST, OUR VP WENT TO SEE HER; SHE WAS VERY ARGUMENTATIVE AND REFUSED HIS OFFER TO FINISH THE JOB PROPERLY. THE ENTIRE JOB WAS PRICED AT $750; ALTHOUGH THE OWNER DID OFFER TO PAY $300 FOR THE INFILL (WHICH WAS FINISHED TO HER SATISFACTION), DOWN UNDER DID NOT CHARGE HER FOR ANY OF THE WORK."
