BUYER BEWARE! DECEPTIVE PRACTICES AHEAD! I scheduled a repair on 9/16/22 to be completed the following week for $957.65. This was the amount for 2 hours of labor ONLY as the small replacement part was covered under warranty. I realized this seemed unreasonable and requested to cancel the day before the work was to be done. They said there was a 25% restocking fee for their labor and they would be keeping $239.41 for restocking "labor". Although I'm no stranger to restocking "fees", they are always a fixed dollar amount vs a percentage (what if my canceled service was $20,000? Would I be on the hook for $5,000? Adirondack thinks so). I even offered to pay 25% of their cost for the part to no avail. After making my case clearly, the phone conversation became heated leading Adam? to hang up on me, but not before he threatened to give me $0 on my requested return. None of my additional phone calls were returned. This is a significantly unethical practice, at best. At worst, it's deceptive to a criminal level. I will never be doing business with them again. Let me see if I can paint this picture for everybody to understand how much I appreciate this company here. I am about Day five into having Covid, In addition to this I’m going through menopause and feel like my skin is literally on fire! I’m was in h***! I have two boys running a muck, meanwhile I’m stuck in My bedroom that also felt like a steam room! I must’ve called 20 companies however after I told them my situation every single one of those companies told me they couldn’t fit me in an appointment until The following week. Smh Adirondack‘s Was the ONLY company who had somebody come out immediately. Within 30 minutes Mr. Jack Lopresto came swooping in cape in all lol Well he didn’t I actually have a cape on but He may has well Of had one on because he was my AC superhero! He called me when he pulled up, within 10 minutes he Assessed the problem, and within the hour I had cold air blowing back in My Home!!! I know I thanked you, but I don’t know if you will ever understand the level of my gratitude you literally saved my life! Thank you so much Adirondack and Jack Lopresto for providing the best customer service ever!!!

I noticed my air conditioning wasn't working just before 7pm on a Wednesday evening. I called Adirondack right away as I've used them before and have always been very pleased with the response and service that they have routinely provided. Jack, the technician, called back in less than 10 minutes and arrived at my house just 30 minutes later. Jack immediately diagnosed the problem and my system was running again in just under an hour. Not only was Jack very responsive, but he was also very efficient and professional. Thank you once again Adirondack - and thank you again to Jack!

Great and professional service. Installers took their time making sure everything was running great after installation. Vicky, the office manager, was there for me through every step. After installation, we had a problem with a wire which caused my electric bill to double. Once the problem was detected, they were here right away, repaired at no additional cost and ever reimbursed me for my electric bill.

.It was a saturday and I had water all around my air handler in the garage. I called them and a tech was here for service within an hour.  He checked the air handler and it was fine...the crux of the problem was the hot water tank that was over to the side of
the air handler, it seemed to be leaking and led to the belief it was the air handler! The tech checked out the hot water tank
and YES, it was very bad and rusted out, leaking water. He quickly made contacts and within the first phone call to Adirondack
and a few short hours I had a new hot water tank exactly like the one my husband and I wanted.My husband was not able to be 
home that saturday and spoke with the tech on the phone and it was installed exactly as he wanted, elevated off the garage
floor, in case of water - living in Florida we have a chance of lots of rain sometimes - Don't want to ruin a new hot water tank! 
Everything was a success. The tech was very knowledgeable and polite. He also cleaned up all the mess in the garage! Remember I said it was SATURDAY.....Talk about service!  You can't beat that for good service.  Any place else I would have waited until
monday for service and for a new hot water tank, maybe even another day for the tank!
We had them out 3/28/16 for a real problem with the air handler.  It was repaired quickly and my husband was very pleased with
the work done by the tech. It's working great. We are taking a contract with this company. Good People~!

We have ordered a Compressor blanket and will be installing this at no charge to our customer to hopefully take the noise level down to an acceptable level or totally away. Adirondack Services discussed repair vs replacement. Once we decided to replaced based on the unit's ages, they gave us several options in replacement units. We had several to choose from. They also offer the Air Oasis UV system.

The company did everything that was asked of them. They were great! We had issues with the county inspection - such as moving the unit. The company did everything that the county inspectors asked & even went above & beyond that. They upgraded things that the county inspector didn't even recommend. Our electric bill after the first month of use went down about 50%. The unit is a little large, but it works fabulous. We've been using this SP since 1998. They are the only AC SP we've ever used. They are wonderful!! Thank to you Adam, Eric, Dustin, Vicki, & the rest of the crew - you guys rock!

I called the owner of Adirondack, Adam Hanson and told him about what I saw as an overcharge and sent a bid from another well established A/C contractor for a much lesser amount to do the same work at overtime.. He told me he would look into it and called me back in a few days. He told me that that was the correct charge for that 40 and 5vf capacitor. He told me that is what he charges and he would not refund any money to my father. I sent him a e-mail about the overcharge and he wrote back telling me how they broke their backs to fix my dad's a/c and that there is always some a-- h--- who complaines no matter what. I never answered his last e-mail. His adittude and name calling has bothered me since then.I would not reccomend Adirondack or Adam Hanson for any work of any type.

On Sunday, July 11, they were called for service on the unit because it didn't work. I got a call back and they told me it would $187 weekend charge. This has a full, one-year warranty. They told me the charge would be for the weekend service. Nowhere in the warranty does it mention this charge. My father, going through chemotherapy for cancer, has his house without A/C. They wouldn't come out without charging the fee. They didn't explain a $1500 government rebate that they mentioned. My parents have no taxable income, so they didn't get it. Had they explained this, we wouldn't have bought their product.

It seemed to be OK. I didn't have any problems with the price or service. We had a check up and it was OK. Last December it wasn't cooling. They added freon and charged me $300. They checked it for a leak and they told me there were no leaks. I asked for my money back on the freon since there was no leak. I think the guy who had checked it out the last time had maybe let the freon out. The owner told me this was a possibility, but wasn't going to reimburse me.

"On 12-13-2009 we provided emergency after hour service and found the member’s system low on Freon. In this service, we performed a basic leak check and found no leaks. The system was installed on 10-01-08 and is out of the standard one year labor warranty. In any case, overtime would not be covered under ANY.warranty period. The customer was charged $187.50 Trip Charge/Diagnostic, which covers up to one hour of labor, $90.00 for 2 lbs of Freon, and $19.43 in tax. The member signed our invoice stating that they were happy with our service. Adirondack Services sends out comment cards after every service call. We received the comment card back from the member with some pretty obscene writing on it. At that time I researched the customer's file and called him immediately to address his concerns/complaints. On January 18, 2010 at 9:30 am per my notes, I offered the member a FREE more extensive leak check and a preventative maintenance check. I offered this to him to see if there was truly a leak in his coil, or if it was a mistake when the unit was initially charged on the date of original installation. I expressed to the member that if we did NOT find a leak in the system that we would refund him his invoice amount from 12-13-2009. I also told him that if there was a leak found, it may be covered under warranty and could be replaced at NO CHARGE. The member was extremely unpleasant on the phone and demanded his money back. He would not accept Adirondack Services offer. In regards to the member’s claim of "letting out Freon" by our service person, that is nonsense. At no time was this brought up to the owner, or anyone at Adirondack Services, about OUR technician letting out Freon. Adirondack Services has very proudly been doing business in Pinellas County since 1998. We are a family owned and operated company and we have NEVER operated that way. We have serviced thousands of homes, neighbors, restaurants, offices, and commercial buildings in the area and we are very aware of the damages of such practices. There are many .reasons as to why an air conditioning system could .be low on Freon. If the member would have allowed, we could have explained and gotten to the bottom of the matter. Adirondack wanted to return to the customer's home to know for sure the issues at hand. When I asked him if we could come back to do the Preventative Maintenance and FREE leak check this would have let me know if there was truly a leak or whether the system may have been charged incorrectly. I was not happy with Adirondack Services. The air conditioning unit was too small for my home. The problem that I have with them was that they did not tell me that the unit was going to be too small to cool my home. I had the unit replaced when the regulations were being changed for air conditioning units. The first season that I owned the unit I worked during the hottest part of the day so I did not know if the unit was working properly. The following season I was home and I could tell that the home was not cool so the unit must not be working correctly. I called them in and just wanted to get another unit and prorate the old one. They would not do it. They did not want to take it back because they knew it was too small. They knew that they could not do anything with it but give it to a low income landlord. They were not workable and I did not think that it was too much to ask. I am not saying that they were unprofessional, but they were not helpful or accommodating. They were polite and professional while I worked with them. They came out for the installation when they were supposed too.
