I also inquired with Andrew about the GAF shingles used on my home, and the Class Action Lawsuit involving GAF Mobile Timberline Shingles, where he promised to pull original paperwork from 2005 to confirm the shingles used. I still do not have the information promised, and he continues to ignore my calls.
Andrew stated that non-galvanized nails were possibly used with the nail guns back in 2005 during the installation, which could be causing the boards to lift under the shingles causing the leaks, and that he sees this problem all the time. Which makes it more obvious to why he hasn't returned any calls, since McWilliams did install the roof.
Insurance inspection has confirmed a shingle failure or improper installation as the cause.
The roof leak has gotten much worse and my living room ceiling has collapsed due to the leak. Expenses are racking up, and I fear that I will need to seek assistance to deal with McWilliams, since I can't get a response personally.
I have made repeated calls and left numerous voicemails to get the estimate and the shingle information promised almost two months ago, and absolutely no return call, NOTHING at all. I've been quite polite with McWilliams through this whole process, and given absolutely no reason for his continued silence. So, one can only conclude that this is avoidance of responsibility.
