I called Mark Scott from A Garage Door Co. (he was highly recommended by a friend). He gave me a written estimate that included everything. The day before the installation, he made an appointment to come over and prepare the area for the new door. He explained to me which shelves would have to be moved or omitted in order for the the new door to operate. There was minimum demolition, and no mess when he left. The next day he returned to take down (and dispose of) the old door, and install the new door. The product he installed is very well made. He asked me questions about where I wanted the outside remote installed, where I wanted the inside control panel mounted, and even showed me how to operate the door if power was out for long length of time. He gave me my manual, showed me how things worked, had me enter my code for outside remote, and by that afternoon, it was completed, the way I wanted it done. He answered his phone whenever I called, or he called me back within the hour. He was sincere and professional. It was a pleasure doing business with him.

Mark had installed this new garage door entirely 10 years ago for the previous home owner and so I called the same company to come and fix it. Mark was punctual and did a good job and I thought he gave me a very good price. I only gave him an overall B rating for now because I want to wait and see how this new garage door opener performs over time and I think too many Angie list people give the A rating too easily so that getting an A does not mean that much. Also Mark only gave me a simple hand-written receipt (no company name on it). Mark gives a 1 year warranty on both parts and labor which he had hand-written on the receipt.
