"Mac Daddy appreciates Angie List customers. We replaced his gas tank on the push mower as it was leaking. We were able to remove one from a mower in our boneyard at no cost to customer. We picked up the equipment, repaired and returned to customer teaching him best practices to service the Pressure Washer Pump after usage."
"We offered to apply the cost of the tune up toward a new pressure washer. He paid for the tune up and the motor is working well. Over time debris settles in the pump and his pump is bad. Please understand there is no way to test a pump until the motor is working. He brought the motor not working and we were able to get it working. We are not psychics and had no way to test the pump. Please consider a vehicle the engine and transmission are separate components just like a motor and pump on a pressure washer. The tune up consisted of a new carburetor, Cleaning out the gas tank, changing the oil, air filter and fuel filter new spark plug. We put all new parts in his motor. Offering him the price off a new unit was more than fair."
"Thank you for your kind review. We love our angie's list customers."
"Thank you for allowing our family run business to be your shop of choice. We appreciate your kind review."
I have a Lexus and did not want dirt in my Lx 570.
Michael came out and picked up my mower (I paid him directly) and
he took My Honda Push mower to Mac Daddy. A week later he brought it back
washed detailed and serviced all for under a hundred dollars.
My son will be happy to have the mower serviced and ready to mow
grass.
"We are happy to repair push mowers, pressure washers, generators and Zero Turns and riding mowers. We detail all the items we work on at no additional cost to you. Family run mechanics shop. You wont believe how clean our shop is or how large our computer system. We are happy to provide service on your motors."
"Its our pleasure to work on your equipment. Thank you for the opportunity. We appreciate your perfect review. Its our goal to exceed your expectations."
"We are a local family owned business wanting to provide best in class service to our community. Why should you have to wait for your equipment to be sent out of the area? Thank you for supporting local jobs!"
"Our delivery driver is happy to load and deliver equipment in the Tampa Bay Area. We are friendly and provide best in class mechanical repairs."
"We have amazing deal on a 4400 PSI Simpson Pressure washer 4.0 GMP for $885. 2 year warranty. Last year this model sold for $1500."
"Happy to service your equipment."
"We value your business."
"We charged an hour of labor to repair the equipment. We called often when equipment is left for an extended time. We do not have room to store finished equipment."
The reason I choose them again is because my mower broke and I do not have a trailer to carry my riding lawn mower to a local repair store. Most repair shops require you to bring your mower in.
It took about three weeks to get my mower back. I would call, send e-mails messages and leave message on phone. Often their employees would answer and tell me that they'd have it delivered within an hour and then they never showed up and they never called to apologize or reschedule.
They realized that they made a mistake and must have not the put repair work into their computer system correctly. The owner, Eddie called and apologized and I finally found out that some of the parts hadn't even been ordered. Again I was told that it would be returned in a couple of days. Eddie was nice, but I really don't want to hear about how your wife, Tamara (?) missed everything up.
If service and getting mowers back is a routine problem then fix the issue. One suggestion is to provide your customers with a temporary mower (loaner) if you plan on keeping their mowers for almost a month. I had to hire someone to cut my yard and the day that I finally got it returned, I had to call and leave a message. Eddie's wife called me and if she was the reason for the problem she should have apologized. But instead, she asked me to pay with a credit card so that she could square the invoice up.
I told her that I would pay with a check when my mower was on my driveway and I checked that the problems were fixed.
She was supposed to call me back with when the driver would return my mower and guess what I never got a call. The driver is a third party individual whom has a trailer whom does the pick up and returns after his full-time job. Nice guy.
I will NEVER use their service again. Shame on me for giving them a second chance after the first time took so long.
I will rent a trailer and take my mower to a professional in the future.
"We are sorry that we dropped the ball with providing customer service to this customer. We replaced idler pulleys, four wheel bearings, deck repairs, tire, blades, battery and changed the oil, air filter, fuel filter and more. During the summer months mowers tend to break more and cause us to juggle multiple repairs. We did a quality repair to the mower. We wishes she could have done better to please the customer."
I'll cut them some slack as they were in the process of moving their business to a new location, but I was somewhat frustrated with:
1. The original estimate was about a week - and instead it took at least 2+.
2. When I called their phone, often it went to a voicemail that wasn't responding.
3. They were slow to respond to my emails as well.
As I said though, as they were moving I'm willing to excuse it and I'll plan to use them again. What I did like is:
1. I trust them. They came across as honest and do good work.
2. They said they'd cut me a break on the labor due to the high cost.
3. They noted the delay in repairing the mower was due to a delay in receiving a part vs. due to their move.
4. They kept all the parts for me to inspect (and they all showed major wear or issues)
Given the positive aspects of my experience and their great reputation here, I intend to try them again - and expect once they are settled in the new place, I won't see the communication issues as before.
I would recommend this company to all of my friends with total confidence that they would also have a good experience.
I was given a detailed price at the time I called for repair. She explained the mileage cost for standard delivery and gave a detailed explanation of the basic generator service. An invoice was e-mailed to me describing all service repair and cost as discussed.
When the generator was returned, the technician explained the repair and provided education on how to maintain the generator to include monthly starting and putting a load on the generator so that the motor magnetism is assured. The generator left with a cover and was returned with the same cover. The generator was started so I could hear how it sounded.
They thanked me for my business when I gave them a check.
"Mac Daddy appreciates Angieslist customers! We try hard to provide excellent customer service. Here is some free advice for maintenance of generators. Each month make sure to the generator, and hook up a drill to run off the generator for ten minutes. That keeps the magnetism working in the generator. Also it is important to use an ethanol treatment in your fuel. The gas companies are diluting our fuel with ethanol. It causes all kinds of damage to the carburetors. Sentry is reccomended fuel treatment. It treats 20 gallons of fuel for $9.95. It also changes the molecular structure of water so that water will burn. Ethanol causes algea to grow in gas. (It is made out of corn.) Just like if you put corn in any liquid would grow algea. It also alcohol. Once of the effects of alcohol is that it absorbs water so water forms in your gas. The worst part of the ethanol happens when the fuel and gas separate in storage. Using an ethanol treatment will ensure that the fuel lines wont melt and protects the plastic tip of the needle in the carburetor. If you have problems with your generator please contact Mac Daddy. We also sell all kinds of new and used equipment. Email us what you want and we will gladly price it for you. We can deliver new mowers and zero turns. Please mention your an Angies list customer."
