Duncheon's Nursery

Pat came out and talked to us and gave us advice and worked up a plan.  It took us awhile to schedule the work, my husband went back a couple of times with questions and added a bed.  It took the workers two days to complete the work.  They did a very nice job.  It looks great.

We'd seen a few Bismarcks before buying from Duncheon and we thought the price was quite reasonable. Duncheon's crew of three arrived on time in the morning. They dug a suitably deep and wide hole for the palm. They had loader on their truck that was just the right size for maneuvering the Palm. They used soil from the hole to create a ring shaped mound around the trunk of the tree that we could fill with water to keep the root ball moist during the first month after the transplant. It's a month later now and the Bismarck is healthy, and we're quite happy with the experience.

The prices are reasonable. They have a great variety of plants, very helpful, and lot of patience.

This is the second time I've been to this nursery and each time has been good. They have average prices and each time something unique that I've not seen before. The staff are knowledgeable and very helpful. They will stop what they're doing to answer questions and assist. They also have a nice selection of pottery. This is on my list of and quot;thumbs upand quot; places to buy plants.

Patrick Duncheon came by to see the area I wanted landscaped. Indicated estimate would be ready in a week and it was ready. Met with Patrick to review estimate and agreed to price and set date for job to be started and completed. The job was completed on schedule. However, whenever the invoice was presented, price was higher than agreed. Explanation was that smaller containers of plants was all that was available and more were needed. I felt I should have been told in advance that the price was going to be higher.

We have been using him since 2001 or 2002. He is reliable and sticks by his word. He does what he says he will do when he says he will do it. Mr. Duncheon is reasonably priced and we have used him for a lot of landscaping; he has done an excellent job with that. He has plants that you can't get in a big box store that are specially formulated for down here in Florida; he has a lot of variety.

I thought they were better priced than other places. I get more personal service there. I like the quality of the plants. They help me and they are very knowledgeable. The price is different for a couple of them. I just spoke to them so I know that they provide all the services like landscaping and all that. I haven't done any of that, I just go and buy plants.

We both thoroughly enjoy working with them. They have good ideas, reasonable prices, and are easy to work with.

We were referred by my brother-in-law and we had wanted to support a local business. When we visited the retail location for Duncheons we were impressed with the wide selection of healthy plants, how tidy everything was and the reasonable prices. They also have a "cottage" as their retail store with many useful and hard to find items. Our many questions were answered fully and Patrick responded to our request for drought tolerant, low care specimens. I would definitely use them again and recommend their work.
