Description of Work: While I didn't use this TV repair service, their response, and honesty was greatly appreciated. The reason I didn't use them is because they service the northern Chicago burbs. I live too far south

Description of Work: Very professional. Came out and took a look at the problem, had to order a part, but promptly called with the estimate.

Description of Work: Our TV was not turning on due to a malfunctioning part. It was actually a known problem with this Samsung model but it did not start to happen until after the cut off time to be replaced by Samsung for no charge (of course). Arthur's came out to the house and competently completed the repair and also noticed that a HDMI cable that should have been hooked up wasn't. He completed that and our TV worked as it should from then on. I was pleased with his service and use him again. |

Description of Work: After initial visit and assessment, repair man came back 3 more times (second visit part was wrong, third time some other part was not working, final time still unable to make TV work). Very professional, on time and called with updates but at end I had to buy a new TV.

Description of Work: He couldn't fix the TV. He's a board swapper and got the wrong board the first time, then the right board but it didn't fix the TV.

Description of Work: Called Samsung to repair our large screen TV. After wasting our time for over a week (2 no show appts), they finally came out and said they couldn't repair it....they thought it was the mainboard and that it probably wasn't available any longer. On Saturday, 5-11, I called ABT Electronics and asked about the availability of a repair tech coming out to replace a mainboard. They said their repair techs weren't in until Monday but that a mainboard probably wasn't available for a 5 year old TV. Frustrated, I turned to Angies List and looked for TV Repair. I found Arthur and called him that afternoon (Saturday 5-11) and explained the problem. He came out later that afternoon. He confirmed that it was the mainboard. He said he would get the part Monday or Tuesday and give us a call. He called us late on Monday and said he had the part. We asked him to please come on Tuesday and that it didn't matter how late because we really missed our TV. He came out Tuesday evening and fixed the TV and it works great. We are so pleased with his work. Very professional, very reasonable. We will definitely use him in the future and tell our friends how dependable and good he is.

Description of Work: Called Arthur's TV repair. Received a prompt call-back from Arthur. He said it would be $45 tto come out and assess the problem and that he would be able to come over that same day. He spent approximately 2 hrs trying to fix our Samsung DLP-TV but was unable to do so. He said he would contact Samsung and call me later. Arthur called me back on Monday 11/19/12 and said that I should call Samsung directly because this particular problem would be fixed by one of their authorized TV repair serivces at no cost to me. (On an interesting sidenote, Samsung is sending out Dan's TV Repair which is also highly rated on Angie's List). So although Arthur wasn't able to fix the problem himself I very much appreciated his follow-through with Samsung and calling me back when he said he would.
