I purchased $2000 in lights then when I needed help with some other electrical work at my apartment building they did not have the time of day for me. The electrical service manager is rude and arrogant as they try to separate their lighting hut from their electrical services. Why should I give any money to a company that wants me to beg them for their help.

I do apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced and for not being able to preform the work under the constraints placed on us."

Worker did a good job with the electrician part but not so good and putting the pieces if the SPA back on. He did not use the same holes and also scratched up the pieces with his drill because he was making new holes in the frame.

I got them off Angie's List. They come to the home because they have a shop here in Lakeland. It wasn't an outrageous price at all.

They were not only kind and helpful but they are very good at what they do. There was no fear. They told me where to get the parts, and then they came out an installed it.

It was a great experience. They did not call me back as promised. However, when they did call me back, they set an appointment up very quickly. They took care of the problem and it was inexpensive. We haven't had a recurrence of the issue.

My husband and I are brand new to the area. When our new house needed some electrical work, we looked around and had Wilson bid the job. We heard good things, and they had an A on Angie's list. The bid came back at $1,100, which was a surprise to us! We didn't expect it to be so much. We decided to call another company, who is now our preferred electrician, who came out to see the issue and fixed it no problem for $95!!! That's NINETY-FIVE dollars. I told them we had another electrician out to bid the job and the bid came back unreasonably higher than what they charged. He told me that when electricians don't want to do an easy job, they'll bid a ridiculous price. If the homeowner checks around and goes with another company, no sweat off their back, but if they have a homeowner who doesn't shop around and books the job, at least they know they are getting PAID. Word to the wise: check around before booking with an electrician.
Response from Wilson Electric

"I am sorry you had a bad experience with our company. I do want you to know, we bid jobs with the intention of getting that job. A lot of times what we bid and what someone else does is not the same. We were given an inspection report that stated " The main panel has 3 double tapped breakers and a braided aluminum branch wire." The written quote dated 10/27/14 included replacing the aluminum wire with copper wire from the main breaker to the meter, to separate the double tap breakers, to replace the aluminum A/C sub feed wire with copper wire and to install a surge protector at the meter. We feel our price was fair for the amount of work to be done. Again, I am sorry you had a bad experience with our company. Feel free to contact me anytime you have a question about our prices or our work. Dianne W, Bishop President"

First off, Wilson Electric was the only electric contractor we talked to that was even willing to try and pull new conductor through the existing conduit. All of the other contractors insisted that we would have to dig up the entire yard and bury new conduit. Wilson made no guarantees that it would work to use the existing conduit, but they were willing to try it.
While Wilson's rate was slightly more expensive than some of the other contractors we talked to, they were the low price overall because they thought outside of the box. I like contractors who are skilled enough to perform work in the manner that is best for the customer and not in the manner that happens to be the way it's done the majority of the time. I would not hesitate to call Wilson Electric again.
The team from Wilson showed up on time. They finished on time. They came in on budget. What more can you ask for?

I love working with this company. I called and told them I needed by electrical box brought into the 21st century - it still had fuses. He sent someone out the next business day, sent an estimate (which was MORE than reasonable), they were there the next day, put the box in, scheduled the city inspector to sign-off on the work and was so polite and professional in everyway. Even the inspector told me he loves checking their work, because it is always top notch. The previous tenant had also messed up a 220 line and they repaired that as well for only $550 - running a new line through a solid block wall. Seriously, I won't call anyone else for my Lakeland, Fl. electrical needs.

Terrific, the fellow was right on time, and as I just mentioned, he fixed the light fixture uner the fan that was shorting out and blowing the bulbs every time I turned on the light. Then he afixed the wall plate that came off the wall and could not be screwed back in. Technican did a great job, and we would definitely call Wilson Electric for any other electric needs that might come up. Very happy with the professionalism he exuded. Pete Fitschen

After another big limb on our laurel oak dropped on the wiring to the house. This time it pulled shingles n part of the roof where the wires come into house. It was a bigger project that involved Lakeland electric and coordinating brighthouse and Verizon but Rusty with his crew and Diane at Wilson electric were awesome! We had delays from the weather and all in all it took a month but they were thorough and a pleasure to work for. Would use them again!

The problem was in the original wiring of the electrical box in the garage. He corrected the fault wiring, which solved all the outlet problems in the house.

My husband found Wilson Electric in phonebook based on large ad listing things we thought we needed, and took a chance.

Jim came out for estimate and gave good price. We scheduled the job and he was very prompt, polite and professional, maintaining a clean work area and finishing the job in a timely manner. This was a renovation job for us, so not everything went according to plan on our part, but they were good about working around us. We felt the job and the price were both good. We would definitely ask them to do more work for us. In fact, that is what we intend to do.
