Waller was negligent. The project manager was incredibly rude and terribly incompetent. He would even interupt me while I was speaking to him face-to-face about the project to take a phone call. He did not supervise, but spent his time outside in the truck taking phone calls. Instead of 2 or 3 months, a reasonable time for making the repairs to my small condo, I was stranded in a hotel for 5 1/2 months, running out of my insurance coverage for hotels and having to live on my mom's couch for a 6-weeks. Waller made no effort to assist me with the additional expense, but took random holidays and weeks at a time off in the middle of the project. In addition, there were more than 100 issues to fix after Waller had "finished" their work, including: formica countertops that have cracked, been replaced and cracked again, broken personal property, lost personal property, leaks, breaks, awful painting job, flooring issues, cracks in the sink, I can go on. They even broke one of my pipes and flooded the bathrooms a second time, having to replace new drywall that had just done in. They had absolutely no respect for my personal property. Brian Waller is irresponsible. He does not return calls and emails, sometimes for weeks at a time. He is now refusing to honor the warranty on his work. Waller has a respectable name in our community. That is one of the reasons I was pleased when my insurance company told me to use them. That reputation has either fallen under poor management, cheap quality products and incompetent workers, or it was false in the first place.

Based on our first experience with Jimmy Waller, I would not hire Waller to build me a dog house!

Waller was terrific. We had water pour through the roof and then through the ceiling, bringing down chunks of plaster. My insurance company said it might cover the claim, but I needed to call a good contractor. They suggested Waller. One call to Waller, and they were working with my insurance company directly to get the claim paid and to make sure the work was done correctly.
All the workers were wonderful--polite, tidy, prompt, and good at their jobs.
When a couple things were completed to my satisfaction, the project manager sent out the appropriate folks to make it right--no arguments or avoidance or anything unpleasant. The project happened on time and in a timely manner.
One of the workers from the ceiling project noticed that we had pavers sitting on pallets in the driveway. When I told him our paver contractor had stopped work, the Waller worker said call his office and get a quote. It was half the price of the other company we'd called to complete the work. Again, the work was done well and on time and by pleasant workers.
We're planning several large-ish projects and will certainly call Waller when we're ready to begin.



12/2015 Update
Tried to hire this company again to fix a building with a water leak. They gave us the runaround about an estimate...said they'd give one, didn't show, said they'd give one, didn't show, said they'd give one if we paid them $2,400 first. What I once rated as an A company now gets a D. Guess they have more work than they need!

It went fine. There was a problem when the subcontractor painters came; they cracked my glass front door. Waller was very responsive in getting that repaired. It was a good thing that they stood behind their subs when there was a problem.

Waller Construction Inc did all right work ultimately but it was a very long drawn out thing. They gave me estimates in July but they didn't get started until September and didn't finish the work until about December because they were trying to get another company to fabricate the cap of my chimney. The two gentleman who did most of the work were very good at what they did and if it hadn't been for one of them, I think I would have had a continued problem. The only problem I had was with their management, their right hand didn't know what the left was doing, they should have come sooner to get started, I think they did not put the push on things and there was a complete misunderstanding in one area because I had a leaking sky light and there was a big confusing because they told me initially that that was not included in their estimate and I finally went out with them but it wasn't easy and it had me feeling very worried during that time and that caused some delays too. I would not go back to them. Their price seemed a little expensive but I didn't shop around so I don't know.

I am located in Michigan and I needed to find a contractor to do a small job at my mother's home in Florida.  Until I subscribed to Angie's List, I was frustrated trying to find a reliable contractor as I searched the internet.  The information provided for each vendor on Angie's List was extremely helpful in sorting out my options.  Everyone I talked to at Waller Construction was responsive and helpful.  I was even able to talk to the estimator who was on site on the phone to describe what to look for and what I wanted done.  After receiving an estimate, I asked them to submit another quote to replace all the cedar siding in one section with cement board.  Once again, they were very responsive in submitting a revised quote.  We agreed on a price and they started the job in about 7 days.  The work was completed in 2 days.  They sent me pictures by email and I was pleased with the finished product (a neighbor also looked at it for me).

This company is expert at insurance restoration.  They understand the insurance process and players, and the quality of the work is first class.  They are flexible and a pleasure to work with.  There was a great deal of work outside the scope of the insurance claim and they were fair on pricing and delivered all work timely and got it right the first time.   I will definitely use them again should the need arise.

First they charged for cleaning and equipment in a room that never had water and they never did any work. Second After cleaning your house all day The Waller Company has a worker try and get you to sign a work authorization for not only Emergency Services but for all repairs and Insurance Payments. Worker says he does not know what is in Work Authorization. This is an Unethical buisness practice. Jimmy Waller supplied a Repair Estimate that he fraudulently listed items that he knew had no water damage and grossly overestimated the oter repairs. It was so obvious the Insurance Company, Tower Hill reported the Waller to the Fraud Investigation Unit. The company has a terrible reputaion and a F Rating from the Central Florida BBB.
