Johnsons Gate Openers

We hired Albert Johnson to install the automatic gate opener, keypad and exit sensor at our home residence. He first installed it to run off of electricity then stated we would have better results and less chance of lightening stikes if we switched to solar panel installation. We paid additional money to make the switch. The gate worked the first few days then started staying open and would not shut automatically. Then the gate just stayed shut and would NOT open and we were stuck on our property! We finally figured out how to remove the chain to open the gate manually. Mr. Johnson is out of town most of the week and very hard to get him out to service it not to mention he charged us a service call and hourly fee each time he came out which was a total of 3 times and none of which he ever got the gate to work properly. Per Mr. Johnson, we bought new batteries, bigger batteries and a new solar panel. None of this made the gate work for more than a day or two. He said he didn't know what the problem was and left us hanging after he said I'm not obligated to come back out and work on this. Our gate still does not work and that's why I joined Angies' List to find someone reputable who will stand behind their work. He installed a brand new out of the box system and never got it working.
