Rick, the estimator, was responsive and prompt. Everything he committed to (including start time of the team) was done as stated. The team worked so fast - all was done in less than 4 hours. They continually cleaned up as they went. Such an eye for details! The drywall was repaired with excellence - you cannot see where the previous damage was despite large areas that had to be repaired. Masterful work.
I used John Locke Painting about six years ago and I will use them again. Fantastic work.

The sealant was applied unevenly with parts missed entirely and parts sprayed so heavily the product ran. The sealant was made for concrete and was supposed to be allied to dry for five hours. I pointed this out to the crew chief who said it was also for wood. I later called the manufacturer who told me that that was not true. They have a different product for wood. The paint job was also mediocre, with places missed, and other parts had so much paint that they were tacky to walk on for a week. I called the owner to discuss the issues and he offered to come put another coat of paint on the deck. I declined since that would have just made the tacky areas morse.

John's crew arrived on time, did an excellent job of both painting and cleaning up when they finished.
We also had master bedroom painted in 2011 with the same results.
Side note - We recommended John to a friend in 05 2013 and they had a complete interior paint job done to their house with the same results that we had.

I was very disappointed the first time on the lack of prep work I had specifically requested. I did my own prep work the second time and they offered me a job. Most recent contact was for outside painting estimate and I thought it was too high.

They did a good job. They gave an estimate and they stuck to it. The price was a little high. I would probably use this company again.

It was a good experience. They arrived on time, charged what they said they would and it turned out good. They were very professional and did what they said they were going to do for how much they said they were going to do it.

I spoke with Rick on the phone to set up an estimate appointment. He arrived on time to quote a price for painting the living room ceiling, the hallway ceiling, a bedroom ceiling, and a wall repair and repainting. I scheduled service for the next week. The work was done professionally and quickly. The company will be the first I call for any future painting needs.
