Jetis Marble & Granite

Got Ricardo's number from a contractor friend of mine. Ricardo is good guy. Pricing was good. Almost 20% lower than the couple of other quotes that we got. But sometimes you get what you pay for. He was not very punctual. Twice asked me to meet at the granite warehouse and both times showed up 30-45 minutes late. Even coming in for appointments was that he will be there in the morning. Not really an exact time. Work was satisfactory but not flawless. He shared with me that he does lot of motel work which could be possible reason for not so high quality of work. Few days after installation, we found some cracked edges on Ogee edge that cant be seen with naked eye but can be felt very easy. But I couldnt get him to come back to fix those flaws. He is too busy. So essentially no warranty on work. He also did not inform/share anything about granite sealing. Apparently all granite (esp marble) has to be sealed as they are highly porous and stain easy. We only found out after every glass of water left a dark ring. I would have thought that any granite professional in their field would either inform the customer that it has to be done, or ask if we want it done. All in all, I really felt the experience was +ve. As I said, he is nice guy and hard worker. If you use him, you just have to stay on top of his work and verify everything before making the payment in full.
