When I first went there, I asked them to ask if they were willing to work on an expensive, piece which was a music box. They said they could. The second time I went there, they said it didn’t have a normal mechanism so they would have to take it apart. They said they work on tiny watches all the time. I left it and asked them to call me within two days to give me and estimate before they performed any service on it and to tell me what they were going to do to it. Three days later he called me and told me the job was complete. I drove there on the 14th of September, as soon as he took it out of the box, I noticed there was a ruby missing. Also I noticed the mechanism played three notes and stopped working. I was really mad. He apologized and said he would fix it. I told him I drove two hours and he assured me it would be fixed so I said ok and that they would call me when it was done. They called me a few days later and said it was done. I drove there today and looked at. I noticed it had gashes on the grove into the sterling silver face of the music box. I told them to hold on that I would be right back. I went to walk around and get Wi-Fi on my phone because I had a picture on my phone from the original box before I brought it the first time. I asked to speak with the guy who I thought was the owner if I could speak to him in the back room and I said, “That mark wasn’t there when I brought it in.” He argued with me that it was there and said he wouldn’t charge me for the work since I drove so far. They treated me like dog and I was very upset and said I would just go home and pray about it because I did not want to make a scene. It’s a quarter inch gash in the sterling silver face. However, the whole thing is only 2 and a quarter inches across. I called my friend because I was so upset. My friend called to see if they were bonded or insured. Michael Madden, the owner, said he was not insured and did not need to be. I told him that it says he guarantees his work. He assured me he is and that my piece of wasn’t worth even worth $150, which it is actually worth $5000.00 and that I was just trying to scam him for money. I just want him to pay for the damages.
Description of Work: I hired them to repair a music box.
