"Shutters did fail inspection the first time around but the issue was resolved for the missing screws and within a week passed inspection. A permit was obtained for this job on July 31, 2013 and work was completed and passed inspection by October 2, 2013-I think two months is a reasonable amount of time for a shutter install for twenty windows as well as passed inspection--Yes, the owner was sick, he actually was in the hospital for back surgery, and out of commission for two weeks, it was at that time that the error was made on the color of the shutters, but was resolved, at no extra expense to the customer-So, please excuse us for that-We still managed to have job completed in a timely manner. I was in contact with the homeowner the whole time, advising her of the situation. It amazes me how nice people are until something doesn't go their way. As the person that answers the phone, I personally do not like receiving messages calling me names, and telling me I am unchristian like and a liar-because someone reported her to the building department, for no pool barrier, and she said it was us-The last I had spoken to her about her barrier was that she would sign up the pool screen after the shutters-I was very helpful with this customer, and friendly, and even inquired how her daughters graduation went. I also worked with her about her move from Miami up to Palm Beach County, trying to rearrange schedules to meet up with her. This is a customer that is upset because someone reported her with no barrier on her pool and she was caught and probably fined, and blames us for that. I am sorry she feels that she has to make unwarranted claims against our company, when we did everything in our power to install her shutters and try to keep a happy customer. As a company that has been around for over thirty years, and is in an industry that word of mouth carries the biggest praise, we try to keep all our customers happy, and do get many that call back for additional quotes for new screens, and other work. I have always been complimented on my phone skills, and tried to help everyone as best I could. I am sorry she feels the way she does. Defamation of character is a crime, and lying is no better, but in the end, God judges all!!!"
"The patio has passed inspection---We have taken care of all issues for the homeowner, as well as supplying them with extra screws. There is nothing structually wrong with this enclosure, and other then a few cosmetic issues everything has been done to completion. As far as three e-mails or six different phone numbers, we have no idea who the homeowner was trying to get in touch with, but we have been in constant communication with them from the beginning."
"If we installed the screen three years ago as stated--we have not heard anything from the customer that there is a problem with the screen in a very long time--We are happy to come and and fix a problem if we know about it-but until the customer actually calls the office with a problem-how are we suppose to know."
"May 13, 2010 Dear Sirs: The screen enclosure that was built for the member was installed in 2006. Our contract clearly states that a one year warranty is on our workmanship. The super screen that is installed has a limited ten year warranty. We have been out to his home on many occasions, some of which, we were not allowed access at his gate. At some point caulking was requested by the homeowner to seal the beams, this is not something that we do, being the water needs to drain. Not only was the caulking requested, but they themselves caulked areas of the screen as well. Since most homeowners assume they know more about the screen installation than our installers, the installers did what was requested of them. The ending result of that was the water had no where to drain. The Owner, President, Qualifier of Screens Etc., Inc., himself went out to the home on Friday May 7, 2010, and removed all the caulking that should not have been there in the first place. Since the screen enclosure is well over a year old, if not FOUR years, there is no warranty on the work, but knowing that the homeowners were older, and that we rely on word of mouth advertising, we have tried to make them happy. Sincerely, Eugene E. Swinford, President Cc: BBB, Angie’s list"
