- Remodeling and Additions was hired, without my knowledge, as a subcontractor by an unlicensed individual to install hurricane impact windows and sliding glass doors.
- To this day the county cannot explain how Remodeling and Additions pulled a permit to do the work when there was no contract, implied or othewise, with Remodeling & Additions, Inc. to do the work.
- Had five attempts to pass county inspection. Some windows leak, some are too small for the building openings, some were hand cut to fit the building openings, some just plan ole don't open. Permit remains open and inactive. Owner of Remodeling and Addiitons actually went for installation lession and still failed county inspection.
- Check the (Florida) Department of Business and Professional Regulation website for State sanctions against this company and individual owner.
- Check the Palm Beach County Planning & Zoning website to see how many inactive permits are associted with this company and or the individual owner.
- Complaint was filed with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation in 2011. Attended the meeting of the Department of Business and Professional Regulation in August 2013 where they decided to fine the contractor $10,000. A final order is pending. Once I receive the final written order I will update this review.
- Final Order issued on November 26, 2013 by the Construction Industry Licensing Board. Guy L. Wingo, fined a total of $10,362.20. Has 30 days to pay or have his license suspended. Check the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation Website to see if he is still properly licensed.
- Per the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation, Guy L. Wingo's License has been suspended as of April 1, 2014.
