They sent a guy out spent most of 4 hrs looking for leaks I told him from the beginning it was in the skimmer so he takes out all my controls valve's to test line's then when done install controls valves wrong before he leaves i tell him there wrong so he turns one it work for a while i called the next day he saids he would send a tech out Ive call them no response now pool is shut down So my next move is to file against them They try to sell me a new skimmer fir 2500 i would not use them ever I'm putting this on here so maybe it will help the next person from getting rip off There are plenty of reliable co All i can say is run they are a rip off John fratt

So head red ride allowed to detect were probably leaking my pool was after which I told him it was at the skimmer. They spent 4 hours going through the pool and all that stuff just to tell me that it was at the skimmer and they want $2400 to fix it. Also he took all my valves apart at the pool to put air in now when my pool comes on the pump doesn’t come on unless you prime it so if im not home it tried to prime and pump Get s red hot I’ve called him to come back out and I’ve called their service and no one answered the phone on hold forever now they’re not even calling me back. I would not use them in the future and I will not let them get away with this. I am going to pursue this matter. They screwed up my pool pump valves Charge me 450 to tell me what i already knew they want 2400 to fix after reading reviews on other jobs they done screw up pool I hope this helps someone in future in making the mistake i made i wish would of paid by credit card now i need to get a pool guy to straighten his mess out

We noticed our pool was leaking water at a fairly quick rate. We called Red Rhino and they came out. A $250 deposit was placed, then $450 to actually find the leak and then $2,690 to repair the leak around the light and the skimmer. A total of $3,390. Took 2 people about an entire afternoon to do. Just know what you're getting into when you call for a repair. They did a good job and were friendly, I just don't understand why this costs so much. The materials they use are not expensive and if you break it down hourly, I paid this company a rate of $423.00 per hour given an 8 hour day.

I called Palm Beach Red Rhino on May 10th 2023 on the advice of my pool cleaner who said he detected a leak. After speaking with a man who said he was a secretary and providing my pool info I expected a call back shortly. May 11 late afternoon I received a call from a woman at Red Rhino. I told her I'd already scheduled with a different company as 24 hours had passed and I hadn't heard from them. She said she just got the message. Puzzling, as I asked: you mean you just looked at or reviewed your messages from yesterday? She said sorry and fumbled and I said no. I won't trust a pool company when they start off misleading about a delayed message or their delay in looking at messages. The fact that my call during business hours went to a secretary then was delayed for 24 hours before a rep called back, then blaming the delay on the secretary is lying. Honesty isn't this companies playbook.

Excellent. From the beginning, Shawn did a great job of surveying the cracks in the pool to what needed to be done and gave me a couple of options. Went with the better option, and they spent two days working hard to get the pool done. It has been two weeks with also a major rain and no leaks so far. Pool tile looks great.

This company gave us a price for pool and leak detection, and then increased the price by more than 60% when they got there. Where I come from, that is unacceptable. That is called "baiting and switching". If I fail to go look at what I am quoting on and find that it is going to cost more than I said, I absorb that cost. I don't pass it on to the customer. That is how good, reputable and ethical companies do business. They then proceeded to give me a quote for over $4,000.00 for a laundry list of alleged required repairs. This leads me to remember the saying “For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul.” By charging me a couple of hundreds of dollars more than they should have initially, they lost what they said was a $4,000.00 job. Because of the baiting and switching I decided to look for another company. I searched through old boxes of receipts to find a company I had used before and found to be very honest. As it turned out, not only did they charge less for checking for leaks than Red Rhino, they fixed 2 of them during the process for no additional charge. This is something Red Rhino would never do and is a reason why I lost trust in them, would never use them again and would never recommend them.

They scheduled an inspection quickly and the technician was punctual in arriving. He was pleasant and discovered two leaks that needed repair. He gave me repair quotes for just under $3,000 which they told me was the only was they would repair them. Being unhappy with this, I contacted another company that did the repair work for a much, much lower disrupted method and cost.

I selected Red Rhino Leak Detection, Inc. based on the referral of a trusted friend, who had used their service. My friend had used Red Rhino to find and fix his pool leak. He gave the company the highest A rating, and I understand why. If there is a rating higher than an “A” Red Rhino deserves it! Red Rhino was the third leak detection service hired to locate and repair a leak of ½ inch of water per day. Two other leak locators were unable to find or fix the leak. Both testers tried to convince me there was no leak, and reported that the water loss was “normal evaporation”. Red Rhino’s whole team, starting with David Dodson, was extremely professional; friendly; courteous; thorough; and most importantly, patient. Each time David came back, he dove the pool, determined to find the leak. When the leaking continued, he never complained about making another trip, and re-testing. Several times, David seemed sure he had found the problem. After performing a repair of the main drain sump, which required draining the pool, cutting the concrete, replacing the sump, and refilling; the leaking continued. Further testing by Red Rhino, revealed the same rate of leakage, ½ inch per day. This was very frustrating for both David and me. David remained determined to find the leak, and did more dye testing. David viewed the continued leaking as a challenge. He never gave up, even though he must have thought there could be nothing else left to try. After having returned to my pool six or 7 times (I stopped counting) David noticed some epoxy (from one of the temporary patches he had made) on each end of the pool bottom, near the returns. David realized he had found the answer. He made another temporary patch. This time, he had me leave the pump motor off. For three days, there was no leak. Not one drop of evaporation, or water loss. David had found the answer! The next day, Red Rhino’s team went into action. David, along with three team members met me poolside, at my house to go over the planned permanent repair. The repair was not easy, as it involved replacement of both return lines coming through the pool wall at each pool end. Now that the permanent repair is done, I could not be more pleased. I have not had to add water to the pool (as I had been doing every third day) to keep the water level above the skimmer line, and prevent the pump from running dry.

Mike Sang, the technician, was professional, courteous, and exceeded all expectations. I had concerns about the cost of the job, but then when I viewed the extent of the process to complete the job, thought it was well worth the price. The job actually took 2 days, which he cleaned up and straightened everything prior to departure each day. He is a gentleman, calm, explained everything, and an asset to the company.

We called explaining we had a leak. Told us the entire system would have to be checked and the cost would be $350 which included the in-ground cleaning system. The man arrived (on-time) and the price would be $450 because of the in-ground cleaning system. He appeared to be extremely through and spent over 5 hours at the house. Told us we had a hole in the one of the main drains (there are 2) which he tried to fix (puddy) but said it was too big. The cost to fix the drain that leaked was $1200 and suggest both be replaced. The second 2nd drain would be 40% off if we did them together. He said the same thing would probably happen to the 2nd drain. The cost was so high because the drains would have to be have to be ripped have to be taken out after the pool was drained. If we booked within 7 days we got a $100 off and would have to pay $100 to book an appt. Based on how he performed and the length of time he had spent we went ahead and booked the repair paying the $100. In the meantime we had an estimate for some title work and when and I mentioned the leak the man said he would come back and take a look which he did. Using a scuba tank he found the leak in under 10 minutes. He said it was minor and the cost was $45. He said all it needed was a little more puddy. We cancel the $2000 repair with Rino. They did return the $100 that we had to pay to make the appt. They gain your trust so when they tell you it's to big to do now and have to come back you believe them. Being very very careful with this company. I do not trust them.

The replacement of the skimmer was complicated by the presence of travertine pavers around the pool. Red Rhino worked relentlessly for 13 hours nonstop to replace the skimmer and repair the return line leaks. The job was done with a degree of professionalism and perfection that is extremely rare in Florida. They left the job site & the pool spotless. Today it is impossible to detect the repairs accomplished.

I found this company to be very good. Their workers were everything you could ask for. They were on time, neat, and responsive. They replaced a pool skimmer for me. The one area where they might improve would be follow up. A check on the job a week or two later would be great.

I've had a leak in my pool for years and no one was ever able to fix it. Every morning I got up and my pool was down by at least an inch. Red Rhino was recommended to me by Pool Doctor and they found the leaks which were from the pool and spa jets and fixed them all! Now, every morning when I look out the window, the pool level is right at the vanishing edge where it's supposed to be! I can't say enough for the work that Mark, the Manager, and his crew did. They were professional and customer service was excellent. I would hire them again in a heartbeat, but hope that I don't have to! The price was higher because instead of just fixing the few jets that needed to be fixed, they drained the pool and I had them do ALL the jets and the drains, plus the light . . . just to be on the safe side.

Red Rhino came on the scheduled day and went right to work. Fixed the leak but said serious work was needed on the pool soon and the estimate was $2580. Their patch held less than 6 months. I decided to call another company to come out to fix the leak this time and see if this company came to the same conclusion as Red Rhino. The other company did come to the same conclusion about what repairs might be needed but their estimate was $1500 to make the same repair that Red Rhino suggested! Why would the Red Rhino estimate be $1000 higher?! - Something to think about... I will not call Red Rhino again.
