He came today.  I said good morning, and he said he was going to do the fence today.  I told him I was not ready for him today and he was supposed to come next week.  He told me he was going to do it today and cursed at me.  I called the company and complained.  She said that he should not have treated me that way.  She did say that the appointment was today.  Regardless, he should not have treated me like this.  I told him he could do the outside of it today.  I told him he owed me an apology.  He wanted to put the lumber on my patio today until next week.  He never apologized to me.  He is very rude, he has a bad attitude, he treated me like a jerk.   He even walked away from me as I was talking to him. 

I called in February for an estimate. They did the estimate in a few days, and were my top choice over the other estimates. I needed windows repaired, the house painted, gutters and shutters installed and a garbage disposal. All was finished in about a month, working around my schedule, and I am very satisfied with their work.

Richard was supposed to rag two colors to create a faux texture effect in my bathrooms using paint that I had to buy. It looked terrible - blotches on the walls - so he had to come back and paint it a solid color. He was not able to do the colorwash in the second bathroom,either, so the walls have a hideous streak between the two colors. He was a complete mess and got paint on everything - carpet, ceiling, door frames, other walls, counters, cabinets, fixtures, lights, switches, towels, accessories...he never moved anything, so it's a good thing I did! The edge lines are all over the place - this looks like it was done by a second grader! This is a brand-new house, and he totally devalued and destroyed it. He was also very late to appointments, to the point I thought he wasn't going to show - I would have been better off if he hadn't! He was unresponsive and unprofessional, and is the worst painter and handyman I've ever encountered. The drywall repairs are not even, with gouges in them, and there are even brush hairs in the paint! The coverage isn't even at all. Now I'm going to have to hire someone else - a true professional - to fix this disaster, as well as a cleaning crew to take care of his mess! I could have done a much better job myself, and I'm sorry that I didn't. I bought the gift certificate for their services on the Bid on South Florida.com auction sponsored by a local radio station, and I thought he would be able to do the work, since he seemed completely confident at the estimate. I was supposed to spend $650 with them to paint three bathrooms, but ended up telling him to stop after the second and mailed them my $250 gift certificate with a letter to never contact me again. I haven't heard back from this about that - and hopefully I won't. I'd definitely follow through with the BBB, Attorney General and licensing offices about this terrible work!
