Owning and maintaining a home is a never ending job. I mean joy! Well, most of the time it's both but here in Lake Worth, what makes the job part more joyful is having local businesses owned and operated by people I know and I know I can rely on. The Guthrie family at Potty Doctor is one of those.
Last week the porcelain throne starting acting out, not performing it's function the way it was designed to. I called the Potty Doctor Plumbing Service right here in Lake Worth, Florida on North Dixie Highway to share my latest joy, i mean job, with them. I gave a run down of the symptoms, water on the floor around the base etc. Chip Guthrie promised to have a truck and man dispatched within the hour. Twenty minutes later, the "Doctor" arrived and within the hour the problem was solved.
Now, I'm fairly handy with home maintenance and I really do enjoy taking things apart when they don't work. As it turned out, this was one of those problems, that even if I had known what to do and how to do it, I didn't have the right kind of tools to do it with. So I was feeling very grateful and very smart to have called in the "Doctor" for a housecall. I must tell you all that when it came time to pay, I was a little shocked. I simply could not believe it because the bill was so much less and the service was so much more than I expected.
