Waited 1 week for him to return from vacations after the quote and then he retracted cause I asked him for payment information. Very unprofessional.

My experience was vastly different than the other reviews I have read. There was no communication as to when he would show up for the job - it was postponed a few times by him with no communication to us. When they did show up, every day they were here they left a terrible mess and we had to repeatedly ask them to pick up the roofing nails on the ground around the house so they wouldn't be a hazard to us or our small dog. They finished the roof on a Friday and were supposed to come back early the next week to put the gutters back on and do a final clean up. They never showed up. We called and left a message for Oakley after a couple of days to ask when he was going to put the gutters on and clean up, and within 90 minutes the gutters mysteriously "disappeared" out of our yard so he was unable to complete the job. He never cleaned up and I picked up trash, bits of metal and about 50 roofing screws from around the house myself. Unfortunately I did not get them all, and one of the roofing screws popped a tire on our car.
I would NOT recommend this roofer. I have experienced other roofing crews in my life that were punctual, communicative and professional enough to clean up after themselves. This was not one of them. Though the quality of the work he actually did is fine, the overall experience was awful and was a huge inconvenience and disappointment.

All Do's no Don'ts with Oakley.  Very honest and did things he thought would improve our home though I never thought to ask for them.  Added a need roof vent on an addition a previous contractor built for us, larger improved drier vent, interior work above and beyond what I had expected.   Always explained before hand what work was to take place for the day, arrived when scheduled to arrive and completed the job with out requiring final payment.  I guess he being honest has faith in his fellow man (his customers) to be as honest as well?  Which I am.

a perfectionist and only does top notch work. I highly recommend them for anyone needing a new roof or roof repair. Another company's estimate was much higher and I am sure the work wouldn't have been as good. The owner does the work himself with a helper so he is onsite making sure every detail is right.  We are older and have had this house for 40 years and this is by far our best experience getting anything done on our house. This tin roof should last for 50 years and Oakley gave us a 20 year guarantee besides which is higher than other roofers because he is sure of his work and that it will last.
