I was initially really excited to find Kristi on Angie's List. I have been trying to find a good cleaner for awhile now and her feedback was great. I called Kristi, she was very responsive and we immediately agreed to start her services.
She quoted me $250 for the day (roughly 8 hours of work), and even she will admit she is on the high end, but she assured me she is worth the money. I know finding a good cleaning company is hard and I agree you get what you pay for (most of the time).
Kristi has cleaned for me 6 times, on a bi weekly basis.
First cleaning was pretty good.
Pro: She told me all the things she does that other cleaners don't do, and I was super excited about how clean my house was going to be!
Con: She completely forgot to do the kitchen floor.
Second cleaning was better. I asked her to clean certain things that she missed in the first cleaning. Asked her to pay attention to the things that were important to me. She took care of it, and I thought we were on our way to a good cleaning relationship.
Third cleaning: Mostly uneventful. Still forgot about the things I asked her to do.
Fourth cleaning: Probably the best cleaning I had from her
Fifth cleaning: She "cleaned" a new house we purchased. 8 hours in a completely empty house. I'm not sure the cleaning that was done required 8 hours.
Not too thrilled with the results. I wasn't there most of the time as we were in the process of packing up the other house, and regular life goes on, right?
Sixth cleaning: She once again "cleaned" the empty house we moved out of. At this time, I was away on spring break, so my realtor let her in, so there was no supervision. Completely empty house, entire upstairs is carpeted floor which I had professionally cleaned so she didn't have to do the floors upstairs. My instructions to her were to completely clean everything very thoroughly.
After coming back from spring break few days later, I went to check on the house. It was not what I was expecting. I texted her, she responded via voicemail that she forgot some things and didn't get to other things. I texted her asking her to clarify. I didn't hear from her. I texted again letting her know one of the things I noticed she didn't do (baseboards on the house, as it was dusty) and what other things she didn't get to. She never responded.
The day before she was due back, I texted her to let her know her services were no longer needed.
Magically, I get a response asking "what's wrong".
IN SUMMARY: Her cleaning in the beginning was good, is it worth what she's charging? No.
Even after telling me to let her know if there are things I needed done or changed, when I tell her it's done that time but ignored thereafter. I don't want to keep reminding her. Ex: water stains on my faucet area, cobwebs. The last two cleanings, I feel she didn't put the effort she did initially, and most importantly she knew she didn't do everything so she should have let me know exactly what it is, and come back to clean instead of ignoring my texts. I'm not interested in telling you "what's wrong" when I already tried to communicate with you and you ignore me.
On the bright side, I found a new cleaner from word of mouth, and she is fantastic!
I changed her grade from a 'C' to an 'F'. I went to re-check the last house she cleaned for me, which was an empty house. All 5 bathrooms were not cleaned. I found soap rings and hair in the sink. The floors were just vacumed and not mopped. I don't know what exactly she cleaned. I don't know what I paid her for. She stated it should make me feel good to have a white cleaning lady when I dont' feel good that she took my money without cleaning.

I had been totally disappointed by three previous housekeepers and then my daughter found Kristi on Angie's list!
Her first day I immediately knew she would be part of our family for as long as she likes.
I am so grateful for her help. She meets and exceeds all expectations.
Thank you Kristi!

You're not going to believe this story....
Kristi made the impossible - possible.
I needed someone at the last minute and she was there. She was right on time and brought all her own cleaning supplies and equipment.
I showed her around the house and she told me exactly what she would do - wipe down baseboards, blinds, bathrooms, vacuum bedrooms including the closets, windowsills, clean kitchen...and other stuff I can't think of.
We proceeded downstairs and found that the water had already been turned off!!! - (It was July 1.) Most people would have walked out - thanks but no thanks...but Kristi was determined to help me in my desperate situation - my $1700 deposit was on the line.
The neighbors were kind enough to let us fill buckets with their hose. We proceeded to find anything that would hold water and literally LUG them into the house. Then Kristi kicked me - and ended up lugging a ton of water on her own. I hated to leave her there alone but she insisted on doing the job herself. She did an AMAZING JOB!
She did all of the above as well as clean out the entire fridge and make it look like new. Normally she would have put all of those shelves and sticky draws into the dishwasher, but again the water was off. She cleaned it all by hand - She scrubbed the inside of a stove that had been used by a family of 6. The bathrooms were perfect, carpets clean, everything dusted.
We were floored (no pun intended!)
Our landlord refunded the ENTIRE deposit - we could not believe it since we had broken a shelf...we thought she'd at least deduct that but I believe she was just very happy with the condition of the house.
I told my husband for my next birthday - I want KRISTII!!!!
We gave her a big tip, along with a six pack of a favorite beverage she had happen to mentioned when we were joking around lugging water.
I would never have expected someone to go above and beyond under seemingly impossible conditions.
If anyone ever asks me for a recommendation I'll absolutely MAKE them call her.
We could not thank her enough.

I have been using her services for eight years. She is thoroughly dependable. She even offered to iron my sheets. She goes above and beyond. She is worth every penny of what she charges. I have no problem giving her a key to my house. I will absolutely continue to use her services.
