In October of 2019 they put in an all new system. They was in the attic, (more like This was all done in one day. It worked fine. They would come and do a maintenance 2xs a year. In July 2024 thermostat stopped working. I called Honeywell a man talk me through steps to make things work none did. He ask AC put in October of 2019. He stated that it was under warranty for 5 years. I called EDS a repair person check things over whatHoneywell told me to do it didn't work he said that he didn't have one. he went to his truck. No new ones he had to use one. And it was going to cost $450 or $500. It was in July it was 100° 105 I said it's under warranty. He stated it wasnt.He put a used one in. Ishould have said just leave. Yesterday 01/04/25 that thermostat not working. I called and they said that it would cost me an amount to come emergency. It was cold but fortunately gas stove and space heaters get different Comp old saying do me once shame on you do me twice shame on me

I called these guys between 2:30-3:00pm. they said they would have a technician out by 6:00pm. I gave them a credit card for the $120.00 (just to come out) I called them 3 times. once just before 6:00pm and was told they would send an “urgent” message and someone would call me back. 2nd call I was told the office was closed but they took a message so someone could get back to me. 3rd & final call was 7:05pm and told them thanks anyway, that they didn’t need to cancel the appointment because if they couldn’t return a call after 3 prior messages they certainly wouldn’t be “showing up” at all. so there was nothing to cancel!

over the years have had multiple problems with unit not covered under contract costing thousands.Always responsive but after 6 years find that the coils have never been cleaned and the unit is ruined. Smooth operators. Beware.

Great service. I like that they email when their tech is en route including his name and picture. Tech arrived on time as promised. He was professional, courteous and very helpful. He performed the most thorough preventative maintenance service we have ever had done on the unit. He also replaced a defective part under warranty. EDS installed our new unit 4 years ago. We were most impressed with their installation team then and we are still very happy with their work and helpfulness.

The service person said there was some corrosion to the compression and a lot of repair work was necessary, but he felt the unit could be repaired. Because the home was unoccupied and being renovated, the repaired AC unit was not run for several months. After the wood floors were refinished we turned on the AC unit to dehumidify the home and help the floors dry. On the second day of operation the AC unit flooded our attic and ruined the ceiling in the living room, but luckily did not damage the new floors.

A different service person came out and said the air handler in the attic had iced up but refused to clean up the soaked insulation. He said the system could not be balanced and operate properly because the outside condenser was so corroded it could not function properly. While the copper coils were not leaking, the aluminum conductive material was hopelessly corroded and falling off. He left without having really done anything to the system. We resultantly had no confidence in the system repair or EDS, and subsequently had the unit replaced by another company.

A few months later we contacted EDS and asked for a refund. We explained that the house had remained unoccupied and the first time we operated the system it failed. We explained that it ruined our ceiling. We explained that the second service person said the outside condenser was hopelessly corroded and not capable of functioning properly.

EDS refused our refund request. They said that the passage of time and the fact that first service person noted the condenser was corroded exonerated them of any liability. The fact that the condenser couldn't function properly and the unit failed to operate properly the first time it was turned on following their repairs was none of their concern. They did not offer to talk to the two service people involved; nor did they offer to come out and verify that the house remains unoccupied and that the ceiling has been ruined.

Air Conditioner went out with family on their way for the holidays. There was water in the drip pan and the air was blowing warm. I called E.D.S. and they responded within hours, quickly and economically diagnosing and resolving the problem. I was blown away at the response time and ability to fix the problem in a quick, economic fashion. I am considering replacing my A/C unit and would definitely have E.D.S. handle the installation. I would recommend this company to a friend anytime.

They have done an excellent job for us. Our electric bill has gone down significantly and I got a full 10 year guarantee included in the price. I could have bought a cheaper system but when I looked at the company and manufacturer's ratings I decided to go with them. I will use this firm again in the future.
