It went just fine. I was satisfied with it. They were on time, they worked around to solve problems with my bathtub, and I think they just did a good job. Their price was good.

I had to postpone until after deal date expiration because of remodeling issues delaying tile installation . I contacted him prior to expiration and he graciously extended the time. He didnt respond to email. I got hold of him through text number on comments/reviews. A worker came as promised and quickly completed the work.

The company came out on time. The only draw back was the INTENSE fumes.  If someone has a respitory problem, they would have to leave the premises. It took about 2 days, a fan and indoor portable air-conditioner to dissipate the odor. The end result on my old tub is beautiful!

They did a beautiful job!  Prompt and very pleasant family-run business.  The nephew Nick does the prep work, takes about 2 hours - he's so good and meticulous. Ed, the owner and Nick's uncle, comes by after the prep and applies the finish, about another hour of work.  The process needs access to a window where they exhaust the fumes and the finish needs to set for 24 hours before using the tub.  We liked the results so much that we had them come back about 3 weeks later to refinish the tub in the master bathroom. 

The only slight negative is that it is hard to reach them by phone as they are very busy and have a problem with their message system.  Ed told me to text him in the future - texts go directly to his cell phone 561-308-2835. 

We plan to use them again when we are ready to refinish the kitchen counter tops. Thank you Angie for connecting us to them!

Company responded quickly to the Angie's List request but after that they were difficult difficult to get hold of. It took approximately six weeks to get an appointment scheduled and the work completed. The work looks good and they were quick getting it done but they had to remove the drain cover and the latch to stopper. The worker told me I could replace them in a couple of days but I've looked at it and I'm not sure how to replace them. No one checked back with me to see if the job was completed to my satisfaction. We are still not using the tub because of the parts not replaced. I hired a professional and feel that they should have returned to check on the job and replace the parts. Now I have to hire a handy man to come do that for me. I'm a single parent who works two jobs and don't have access to anyone who can do this. I have to hire people to do the repairs around my home which is why I have chosen to be a member of Angie's List.

The job itself was a great job. But my bathroom contractor nicked a portion of the tub and it needed to be repaired. My contractor said he was willing to pay for it if Demco would come and fix it. Called numerous times. Made numerous appointments that were broken. Always with an unusual excuse. Stopped answering phone. Filed a complaint against him with BBB, never to be resolved. VERY surprised he is on Angie's List.
Unfortunately, BBB can not pursue the matter further. This complaint case is now considered closed UNRESOLVED.

They are terrible at returning phone calls and getting back to me. After we purchased the deal, it took several weeks to get in touch with us to scheduling the appointment and he said he was backed up due to the demand of the deal. He also told me was on vacation.  He also had to come back another time repair a shower a door which did take some time.  However, the workmanship was very good.

Night and day difference.  Does take most of the day with pre-sanding.  Very happy with results, looks like a brand new tub without the hassle of demolition.

They were fine and good. They were on time and did a good job. Their price was reasonable.

The owner was very nice and accommodating and answered my calls personally or called me back promptly after leaving a message.  The only issue I had is not receiving an invoice or receipt describing the work that was done... Said he would e-mail me one and never did

Quick and painless... amazing results!

The worker arrived on time. He was courteous and professional. The refinish made the tub look brand new and it took him less time than originally calculated. The price -- an Angie's List special offer -- was unbeatable. I would recommend Demco to other people looking to refinish their older tubs.

The only quality service included in this Angie's Deal was performed by John, the young man who performed the actual reglazing.  He is skilled, communicative, and HE behaves in a professional manner.  Overall professionalism and communications both on-line and phone with the company owner or boss, Ed, was poor.  As there was a major ventilation challenge because Ed sent John out with insufficient materials, I called Ed and received a message that his voicemail box was full, so I wasn't able to talk with him or leave a message. Immediately following, his employee reached Ed on the phone with no problem and Ed told me that "most people have windows in their bathrooms."  Ed should accept phone calls from customers with work in progress. I eventually learned that, if you don't have a window in or immediately adjacent to your bathroom, you shouldn't use this company.  He won't ask for details about the job he's paid to do, so you must anticipate.  DEMco Refinishing's vent pipe is too short to accommodate even a small bath in an average-sized bedroom with a window. Our floor plan is not unique.  There are tens of thousands of similar units in this area.  Plan to spend at least one day and night outside of you home, especially if your bathroom doesn't have a window sufficient for the vent hose.  If you only have one bathroom, I suggest you plan to be away from home for several days.  As for site preparation, several areas that should have been covered were not.  We now have gritty door knobs.  To beat all, I contacted DEMco online to request a written warranty and care/maintenance instructions, and have been ignored.  I do not recommend this company.

Service provider was professional, cleaned up after himself, provided an accurate timeline of service and tub looks great.

Provider said that he would be at my home at 9:00 AM on the appointed day and he arrived on time ready to work. He was polite, professional and answered all of my question before work began. The work took 3 and half hours. He also

removed all of the old caulk surrounding the tube and carefully masked the work area for spraying. He also covered the rest of the bathroom with drop-cloths and when finished there was no overspray anywhere. He did a through clean up and upon completion there was no extra clean up that I had to do. Amazing, as that rarely happens. I am pleased and would recommend this provider. He is a nice guy and a real professional.

Everything was fine and okay. I'm pretty pleased with the experience. They charged us whatever it was they quoted. It took them a couple of weeks to come out but they were busy. They came when they said they would.

The company was very backed up with the special deal and could not get to me until the 3rd week of Oct. Ed was very apologetic on the phone but always had to be apologetic.     He did not call the day before to confirm which i was kind of surprised at. They were late coming over and then when the prep guy left, the other guy was supposed to come and paint the tub and he was very late too. Ed is a very nice guy but it was definitely frustrating. I felt I could not complain to him since it was a special deal and he was very busy.

Ed is one of those guys that will go into my address book of contacts for all matters having to do with refinishing, counter tops and general house fix it guy.
The refinishing job he did on the tub was a HECK of a lot longer of a job than expected and yet, he finished what he started and he did it very well. We are very happy with all of Ed work and professionalism and we will be using Ed to work on our shower next, and possibly a redo of our kitchen counter top.

*  We had an appointment for estimate and a subsequent return visit made to finalize the work to be done.  Both appointments were scheduled easily and they were here at the appointed time.
*  Instructions we needed to prepare for the work to be done were clear, concise and minimal.  All questions were answered fully.
*  The job started right on time and proceeded with no break until completed.  The whole job was professional: orderly, quiet, clean and thorough.
*  The bath has been transformed and all the work is warranted.  Outstanding!

Extremely professional company.  On time and on budget and everything was done exactly as estimated and promised.  They were very, very thorough and went to quite a bit of trouble to minimize any mess.  The work they did is outstanding and the outdated bathroom now looks like new.

UPDATE:

December 2013

As per the above review, I contacted DEMco again approximately one year later to do our other bathroom. Mr. DelPortillo made an appointment with us to commence work on December 17, 2013. Since we live most of the year in NY, we made the effort to be in FL before that date. Mr. DelPortillo never showed up for the appointment, nor did he call to cancel. We had to contact him and left several text messages. He finally responded with a vague excuse. We then attempted to contact him via phone, text and email with no response. We hired another company who showed up and did a beautiful and timely job.

Mr. DelPortillo never tried to reach out to us until January 15, 2014 at which time we told him the job was already done by another vendor.
