A group of neighbors decided to move to one lawn company in hopes of gaining better pricing as a group. They recommended the lawn company just a week after they hired the firm. The initial person that I met with, Robert, was extremely pleasant and someone that anyone would find easy to work with. However, Robert's brother is another story as I later learned. I paid the firm $300 to clean up the lawn and then I hired them for $110 a month to mow the lawn and maintain the limited shrubbery and beds on the property. I failed to realize that they charge for the month in advance and so it turns out that I was considered a late payer on the first and second month payments. Robert's brother addressed the issue by being extremely rude. I told him that for the current month, as with the last month, I hadn't received an invoice and would have no way of realizing that he was charging in advance of providing services. I think that is unusual for a lawn company but I guess things change. Anyway, he basically accused me of lying about the invoices. The entire conversation was him was difficult and frustrating and I realized that I could not do business with folks like this. I did think they did a good job but if they aren't capable of speaking through an issue with a paying client then I guess I don't need to be a client anymore. I am moving quickly to replace them as my lawn service provider.
Description of Work: I paid the firm $300 to clean up the lawn after a long period of neglect by the previous owners. They did a very nice job. Then I hired them for $110 a month to mow the lawn and maintain the limited shrubbery and beds on the property.
