He does transmissions. It is independently owned. I can't say enough great things for him. I went in with a recommendation of Firestone for a transmission issue. He did a full diagnostic and he found out it was a sensor. I actually went to the dealership and they said I need a whole new transmission and that it wouldn't be worth it and that I might as well buy a new car. He said, "Oh no, it's this little sensor. Because you have an older car, it just died. I'm just going to have to call in for the part. It's going to be a little much because I have to get back in there, I've got to take things apart and reach back in there." It just was $150, opposed to buying a brand new car. He is wonderful. I met the owner, he is a great guy. As a woman I always assume that they're going to try to pull one over on me because I don't know that much about mechanics. He came highly recommended from a friend and he lived up to his reputation. He went even beyond that. It was just a very good experience. I would tell others to go to him before going to your dealer and he will give better options than your own dealer for your car. If you're concerned about your transmission and you don't want to go to your dealer or you're afraid to go, go to this guy, get an estimate and weigh it against your dealer and see what your options are because usually the dealer wants you to buy a new car. For me to think it was just a sensor that cost $150 - and the only reason it was that much was because of the labor involved to installing it, the piece was probably $4.

Description of Work: As usual minor repair became major expense. Kept my vehicle far longer than anticipated. Later found out repair may have been unnecessary.

It was excellent. They definitely took care of us. They brought the vehicle over there. They got it repaired and everything is good to go in a matter of hours. They went above and beyond and got the machine back to us.

I had my transmission re-done out of town last month, and have been hearing a loud, whistling noise for over a week on my work truck. I thought it might have been related to the transmission, especially after several auto mechanics couldn't diagnose the problem. Before the truck was even opened up the technician there knew what the problem was when I told him the "symptoms". Thank you so much for your 30 years of experience - just like in my a/c business, it really pays off to know the quirks and twerks of the trade to diagnose problems quickly and efficiently. I will definitely recommend them to others!
Description of Work: I was experiencing a loud whistling noise on my F-250. This company was recommended to me by Mike Roy Automotive.
