Not big on reviews, but I had to leave a glowing review because I am so pleased with both the work and the finished product! I called Kincaid Electric out to add two outlets in my living room, and to install my new Samsung Frame TV. I wanted it to look super professional with no wires, flush mount, etc. My husband and I DIY’ed a fireplace in our living room and needed an outlet added for the electric fireplace insert. The two guys who came out were on time, very professional and very clean (no mess when they left!). They asked me questions as the installation went along to be totally sure they understood my desires. They read the directions for the TV and fireplace and made sure to set things up ‘just so.’ The results are FANTASTIC. The TV looks like a million bucks - we are thrilled! Really pleased with the quality of work these guys did and would not hesitate to call them back out for future electrical needs.

DO NOT CALL! Not even for a QUOTE! They charged me for coming to the house and not doing any service. Back in March 2018 I called a few electricians to get quotes for installing a water heater. A few companies came to my house and realized it was not possible to install it. Kincaid was one of them. None of the other companies charged me, except Kincaid. They never mentioned there was gonna be a charge, and now 8 months later they decided to send me a bill for $85 for a "service call". When I asked the owner to cancel the invoice - he refused. If every other company who came to my house charged me for not doing any service I would be in trouble. I don't understand how they wanna stay in business if they treat customers like this. They do not care about customer service. They care about MONEY a bit too much. I don't know if they are good electricians, because they never worked at my house, but this I can tell you: they are not courteous to their customers.

"We received [Member Information Removed] call from Mr. [Member Name Removed] May 31rst of this year. He asked an electrician to come out and wire in [Member Information Removed] water heater that he was providing (did not ask for estimate). He stated the heater had to be wired in that day. We pulled one of our technicians off of [Member Information Removed] job and sent him right over (30 minutes drive to and from customers house). Upon arrival at Mr. Muresans home we inspected the project and determined that the water heater he had purchased was too large for his home's existing electrical services. Installation of this product would be in violation of the National Electric Code and be an inherent fire risk and could possibly damage life and property if installed. We advise the owner and recommended [Member Information Removed] plumber we work with to help him resolve his issue. We sent our technician to [Member Information Removed] job to do [Member Information Removed] job, we did not purchase the incorrect heater, and we have [Member Information Removed] one hour minimum charge. That is our company policy and has been for 46 years. After [Member Information Removed] bill being sent [Member Information Removed] bill out after the service call and then the first of the month every subsequent month for the past 5 months with no communication from the customer, they called (and emailed) yesterday and threatened the above review as leverage for him to not have to pay his bill."

Terrible. As we said above we believe from the experience we had that they put in bad batteries that we paid a high price for. Plus we feel that we were charged for replacing the smoke detector that they provided when we believe it was not necessary. In other words we paid a lot of money for what? We did try to contact them by sending a message through their website. They did not respond to it. Plus our lawyer sent them a letter which they did not respond to.

"We are sorry the customer feels this way about her transaction. We always prefer that anyone that has a discrepancy or concern with their invoice to call the office first as we can look back and address any concerns they have. Since no call was made please let me address the issues here. All hardwire smoke detectors have batteries. We replaced the battery because it was chirping, this would have been the most apparent fix being that smoke detectors indicate a need for a new battery by chirping and the customer had not already done so. We didn't replace the smoke detector at this point because that would have ran up cost to the customer and we were trying to resolve this problem for her at a minimal expense. A few days later the problem arose again. We immediately rearranged our day, to return to the customer's house shortly after she called (same day), we then replaced the smoke detector. I feel this review is a little unwarranted being that we took care of this customers needs in an extremely timely manner, and she was only billed for 1/2 half the labor we have associated to her job. In effort to be completely transparent to prevent any further confusion, our labor rate is $85/hour/man (which is inline with any reputable, established, licensed and insured professional company) and we do not give senior discounts (customer never asked if we did prior to calling us to her home). We always strive to deliver the best possible service to our customers and am truly sorry this customer feels that we came up short. We wish you nothing but the best of luck in your future endeavors."

Crew came in and replaced all smoke detectors. Did not label the electrical panel, instead we-wrote on the old labels. Poor job. Then I called back and crew came to do what was expected. New labels, digitally printed and professionally installed.

Our standard practice is to collect the information and return with a printed label and we did this the following Monday that you contacted our office. Unfortunately our guys do not have a full size printer on there service true and can not print professional labels while on site. We have to do this in the office and return to adhere them to the panel. I appreciate your evaluation and business. I would like to note that the price was determined via free estimate prior to work being performed, owner agreed to the predetermined price of the Job and we proceeded."

From start to finish, it was a terrific experience. From the initial phone call, Chris was very informative, friendly and punctual. The touch screen control panel is simple for all family members to operate. Installation of the alarm system on my older home was trouble free. The system has been installed 6-8 months, and it has operated flawless. Having a Kincaid Alarm system provides peace of mind to my family and I. We had an appt scheduled for Friday, Oct 7 and with the impending storm projection, the company has closed for the day. When our appt passed without a service rep showing. I waited a couple hours and called the company. I spoke w/Allan Kincaid who explained they had given their employees the day off due to the predicted weather from Hurrricane Matthew, he also explained that it would probably be Mon or Tues to get someone out to us. I explained that we were only visiting for a few days and would it be at all possible to have someone come out on Saturday. He then offered to contact one of his men and see if they could accomodate us that day or the next. Within 20 minutes he called me back and stated a service tech would be at my residence within the hour. Scott Britt is the service tech, who took time out of his day off to assist us. He trouble shooted the issue (a burnt wire in timer box) and had it repaired within 45 - 60 minutes. It was nice to work with such a caring and accomodating company, who has professional staff that seems to care about their customers. Huge thanks to Allan Kincaid and Scott Britt, for dedicated service to customers, even during what could have been catastrophic weather. I will definately recommend their company and call them in the future for my electrical needs.

I called in the morning and Allen came right out & sent a worker that afternoon. He was efficient, polite, neat & when he was waiting for some wire to be delivered he fixed the chain saw my grandson was using.  I don't think I've ever had such an economic experience with any trade before in my life. plus the men were all extremely nice.

Charged me $80.36 to change a fluorescent bulb in my closet.  I told them when I promptly paid, I felt this charge unfair.  How long did it take to change a bulb? What did the bulb cost, how much gas to get from Lake Wales to Winter Haven.   Never will use them again.

"Our minimum service charge is 1 hour. We repaired the problem this customer called us out to perform with the utmost of professionalism. The customer's home is approximately 30 minute drive from our shop one way. They were charged our minimum service charge plus materials. I feel this customer's review is unrealistic and does not represent the service we provided. I feel bad this customer was dissatisfied with the charge, but I don't think you will find many companies out there that will work for free."
