We had JC Masonry replace our fireplace. Cathi was great at responding promply. Joey was meticulous about his work, and did a great job! Working with them was like working with family. I wish I could attach pictures, because the end result was unbelieveable! I would definitely recommend them! In fact, I plan on using them again this summer to replace several retaining walls. Just good people!

From start to finish it was a great experience! I love supporting local and family-owned businesses when I can and working with Joey and Cathi was great! The tuck-pointing looks amazing. Joey took the time to custom match the existing mortar as close to perfect as you could get, he takes great pride in his work and the quality was impressive! Cathi kept open and reliable lines of communication with me throughout the entire project. My neighbors were all impressed with the quality of work! I would highly recommend!

I sent photos of our damaged Chimney and promptly received a quote from Cathi. We worked out a schedule for the work to be performed at the beginning of February, 2018. They stuck to this and Joey and his son completed the repair over the course of two days. They kept the work area extremely clean and tidy and left absolutely no evidence that they had ever been there. (No damage to the new roof that had been replaced a couple of weeks prior) The result was beautiful. I would highly recommend J C Masonry to anyone looking for an efficient, competent and professional mason. I most certainly will call upon their services again for our future masonry requirements.

Exceptional - Every step of the way, from the estimate to the finished job. They are truly the best in their field. The work looks like the original block work. When the house was built (1962) the bricks that were ordered for the wall called for used brick. I had a couple of brick blocks on the wall that were severely damaged. They were even able to replace those bricks & did not include it in the price of job! If you have any masonry concerns, give J.C. Masonry Improvements a call. I hope this family owned business stays in Florida as they will be my go to for any masonry needs!!

Amazing! Can't tell that it ever needed repairing. Original antique brick was rescued & reused. Mortar is an identical match. House was left cleaner than when they started!!

It was reasonable. It wasn't inexpensive but it was reasonable. They were very responsive. This is the only kind of work they do and they do an excellent job at it. They were experts at stone masonry. They communicated with us very well as the work went along. It was in a couple of different stints but in total I'd say maybe 10 days.

I'm a little late on my review, but we hired JC Masonry in June 2015 and had brick re-pointing done on our house where some of our mortar was falling out between our bricks, and the owner and his son were out at our house for several days, and even worked around our exterior painters that ended up being there at the same time due to rain delays that summer. These guys did a great job on our house, the new mortar matched perfect after it cured completely, and we are still VERY satisfied with the work completed! I would definitely recommend them for brick repairs/re-pointing!

Wow, as a retired construction professional, it takes a lot to impress me. But if you need a guality brick repair done at a fair price, call Cathi. Joey matched a 45 year old brick, and even knew who originally produced it.  A true craftsman! Can't give them my highest recommendation.

Working with Joey and his family was a pleasure from start to finish.  Professional, thrifty and fun to work with we enjoyed every day of the several weeks he spent working on our project. Throughout the entire time he listened and collaborated with us to create a design which upon completion looked as if it was original to the 100 year old home.   Joey's passion for brickwork, creativity, attention to detail and workmanship are unmatched. You may have to wait to get onto his schedule but if aesthetics are a primary concern it is absolutely worth the wait. 

Joey was prompt and professional, and a master at his work. Our bricks look great, and he thoroughly protected and cleaned up the work area. They were a great company to work with all around, and I will definitely use them again.

I was warned by independent sources  that this was a delicate job. JC seemed to be very experienced in this type of work and it went off great, without a hitch.

He squeezed us in quickly and did a great job. We will use again if we have a need for stucco work.

Joey and Cathi were cooperative and helpful as to the timing of the work. They came by promptly after their return from Colorado, where they spend much of the year, and provided a detailed estimate within a couple of days. The work was scheduled around our needs. Joey and his son spent most of two days and part of a third on the project. The work was completed in excellent fashion and they cleaned up debris effectively. I anticipate that we will use their services again next year to repair cracks in our driveway.
I should note that while the price seemed reasonable to me, I don't have any basis for comparison as this was the only company I called, in view of their strong recommendations on Angies List.

This is the second job that Joey has done for me and I can't say enough nice things about how pleased I am with the work that he did. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone that was looking to have any masonry jobs done. He and his son (Caleb) were always here when they said they would be and the job was completed when anticipated.

From the first request for an estimate to the completion of the project they did an exceptional job. Cathi is the office manager and coordinator. She did an superb job communicating with me through every phase of the project from coordinating the estimate, scheduling the job, obtaining brick samples to match for the project and billing. She was always accessible to talk to and ask questions. I only remember once that I had to leave a phone message and she returned the call within 15 minutes. Joey is an phenomenal brick mason. To me, he is just as much an artist as he is a mason. He took great care to make sure the project was done right. Like Cathi he was also an exceptional communicator. He took great pride in his work and accepted nothing but perfection. He kept the work site clean and also took care to not disturb or damage the landscaping (bushes and grass) immediately adjacent to the project. When all was finished I was very pleased with the end result. I would definitely call them again if I needed any masonry work done.

We were very happy with Joey's services. He is a true craftsman and did all of the work himself, with the help of his son. He worked closely with my husband to understand our vision and made sure that we were happy with the results every step of the way. Joey was also very accommodating to our budget and schedule, working with us when we chose to purchase our own materials or do some of the work ourselves to cut down on costs. He never pushed against this, but instead helped us to achieve the best possible results in a teamwork environment. We could not be happier with the finished product, and plan to use Joey for all of our masonry needs going forward.

After the initial back and forth of getting the appointment set up, they were outstanding.  On time on the day of the job and very thorough, quality job done.  Highly recommend!!

I really like their work ethic.  They have been very attentive when they came out to provide the bid.  They were very personable and have many years of experience.  I appreciated the fact they are a family business and were very responsive to my calls.  I received my bid right when they said I would via email.  I get the impression they're great people and I look forward to working with them.

This company is very good, so they are very busy, so there was a wait to get the work done, but we got good advice about making sure no damage occurred from the weather while we waited. Plus they were in touch about the scheduling on a regular basis. The work was done on schedule and was highly satisfactory.

JC did an excellent job from start to finish. Joey's repair work went beyond my expectation. He was meticulous and did an excellent job repairing the brick foundation. After finishing the work, he left the basement cleaner than he found it.  His wife Cathi runs the office and she is very helpful and highly responsive. From scheduling the estimate to completing the job, they communicate every step of the way. We had to wait several months for them to get to our job, but since there was no urgency, I definitely feel it was worth the wait. It speaks very well of the company that they have a wait list. They weren't the cheapest estimate for completing the work but I am very satisfied and pleased that I selected them.
