The cost of services was very reasonable. I had a little thing I got from a rescue group so it was not expensive at all. I don't know if they did that to everybody, but it was really reasonably priced. I like the fact that they're very convenient. For me, it's sort of like you can get in and out of there. You can drop your cat off and then pick them up later in the day. The people who work there are absolutely good and it's really good thing. They're open on Saturday from 8 to 2 which is always nice because sometimes you know some people are not open on Saturday. They do a lot of pets because I know they work with some rescue organizations to help them so I respect anybody who does that. They did a good job. when you go to pick up a pet, it's very busy in there. That's my only complaint--it's just there's so many people trying to get out their pets out there at the same time and there's probably not enough help. Price is fine. They even have a 15% off on your first vet visit if you are a new client. They have a large staff which is really good. They have a whole bunch of technicians and receptionists so I think that's really positive, because you know when you take your animal in there, they have enough people to take care of them.

This was my 2nd interaction with this veterinary clinic which I chose from Angie's List reviews. I suspected my dog had a urinary tract infection and a urine sample was dropped off to the clinic at 8am. We were advised the sample would be read within the hour. We called at noon and informed they were "short staffed" and they would call us with the results. At 3PM we called and were told that our dog did have a urinary tract infection and the prescription was ready for pickup. I received the prescription and noticed it was 60 tabs ordered to be given 2 times daily (this equals a 30 day run). I questioned the employee that was ringing the medication up why my dog was on a 30 day antibiotic run and was told "this is what the Dr. ordered". After I paid and was on the way to my car I opened the bottle to see how large the pills were and saw they were small white pills. I figured these would be no problem to give the dog. On the way home I was talking to my wife on the phone and she let me go for an incoming call which turned out to be Lake Mary Veterinary Clinic. She immediately called me back to inform me the clinic stated they had filled the prescription bottle with the wrong pills and I needed to return. I walked into the clinic and an employee told me they "weren't sure if we put the right pills in the bottle but we need to check to be better safe than sorry". She came back with the bottle and told me "these are the right pills". I opened the bottle and saw the "right pills" had changed from white to yellow. When I got home I decided to verify the pills were still right and looked up the medication - Chlor-Pro, To my dismay I found out my dogs infection was being treated by an antihistamine. I immediately called back to ask why I was prescribed an antihistamine for an infection. I was told the prescribing Vet had left for the day but I would receive a call from Dr. Dyer within the hour and did. Dr. Dyer informed me that he reviewed the results of the urine sample and determined my dog needed to be on Cipro. I informed him of all that had transpired and I was told he would personally fill the medication and to please return the Chlor-Pro. I went back a third time and got the correct medication for the dogs condition. My wife wanted me to post this review on the day it happened. I informed her I was sure I would get a call from the vet that prescribed the wrong medication for my dogs condition with an explanation or apology and if so I would not post this review. I will be seeking veterinary services elsewhere based on this experience.

I had a dog before this one who had to have several surgeries. I think that their prices are very good. The care that they give is just wonderful. A lot of vets can't do surgery in-house and I have to go somewhere that is a lot more expensive. So far, they have been able to handle all of my dog surgeries. Surgery at any time isn't cheap, but I think compared to others, they are pretty good. Dr. Hecker is Boss's doctor but they have several on staff and I think they are all very good. When our dogs are in pain, we are in pain, and they have been great. My other dog had to have his ACLs operated on and it was so painful. They just tried everything that they could to save his life.

I arrived at the office to see Dr. Dyer early in the morning for his first appt. I was placed into a small waiting room with my Lab of 11 and a half years old. I was initially greeted by an assistant or Tech who asked me preliminary questions and also wanted to check his weight. I walked with my pet in the back hallway to the scale to assist the tech getting my boy up onto the scale. I passed what I soon learned was Dr. Dyer in the hallway. He never looked up at me to greet me, he simply ignored me and my pet and kept reading his paper. After the weighing in I was escorted back to the room where I waited for Dr. Dyer to come back in.
I would say that Dr. Dyer appeared thorough in his examination of my Lab. At the time I was beginning to feel comfortable that he seemed to know his stuff and explained everything in detail to my satisfaction. A fine needle aspirate had to be done and then sent to the Lab to be tested for possible cancer.
Later that evening I received a call that I could not answer due to work. It was Dr. Dyer and he left me a phone message stating that the test came back and we need to discuss the next course of action. His message and tone clearly indicated that something was wrong and I had good reason to be concerned and or worried. He left his number and told me to call at 9:00 AM and that he'd be there all the next day.
I along with my wife worried sick all night about what was going to happen to our loved pet. At 9AM I called the office and was told Dr. Dyer hadn't arrived into the office yet. I told the receptionist that I was worried sick and please tell Dr Dyer to call me asap. I called back just 30 min later and was told he was busy and couldn't come to the phone. I again pleaded with the girl and told her that Dr. Dyer told me to call early in the morning. Again I was promised he'd return my call asap. I finally got a casual call from Dr. Dyer at 6 pm. He told me some bad news about my pet and what I'd have to consider next which didn't sound good. I let him know that I was furious he made me wait almost 24 hours to hear this news and I would not return to his clinic. He was indignant about making his calls later in the day since he's just too busy. I can't imagine how he could let us stew as long as we did and act like he did nothing wrong. I guess I should have known something was wrong with his people skills when I first met him and he wouldn't shake my hand.
He may have had good veterinarian training, however his people skills and compassion are sorely lacking. I would never return to that office nor would I recommend him to anyone else.

This last visit was to put a pet to sleep. They were very caring and thoughtful and gave us all of the time that we need and explained what they were going to do and how our pet would feel. A great comfort.

The perfect combination of old-fashioned, "country vet" style TLC and state-of-the-art professionalism and solutions at extremely affordable rates. After trying numerous area vets for my 3 elderly Maltese dogs, Dr. Dyer examined, diagnosed and treated my 12 yr. old rescue pup, Bambi. With an in-depth and compassionate, caring physical exam, a 2-view X-ray and other tests, Dr. Dyer explained that Bambi had a collapsed trachea (something typical with Maltese) and that his heart murmur had increased from a #2 to a #3 to #4 (5 is highest). He had fluid build up in his lungs and was struggling. After one week of treatment/meds, Bambi made an amazing recovery. He was no longer coughing or panting and had gradually increased his energy level. By the end of the month, Bambi was doing so well that the doctor reduced some of his medications. The way Dr. Dyer so lovingly handled and examined Bambi was something I hadn't experienced for a long time and his commitment to Bambi's recovery and comfort were undeniable and heart-warming. He told us to keep his stress level down, but when I asked if we should sedate him, he suggested someone he loves cling to him when he feels stressed. This solution works and means less medication and expense. Also, on our last visit, I had a last-minute request to bring along the older pup, who turned out to have a bad fungal and bacterial inner ear infection. The staff booked us immediately and Dr. Dyer quickly diagnosed and prescribed drops that quickly reached and cleared up his infection and relieved his pain. Cost-wise, they are one of the most affordable area vets by exam, test and treatment costs. For example, they charged $130 for a 2-view X-ray that my nearest vet charges $230! The only downside of this or any clinic, is the wait time, which can be lengthy if they get busy, but signs throughout the clinic stipulate this assures every client's pet gets the best possible care and attention they need and deserve. Well worth the wait!

I think that he is an extremely good vet with birds. He's not an Avian certified vet, but when he doesn't know the answer he finds out, his prices are extremely fair and his services are extremely good.

After taking my dog to the animal emergency clinic on a Sunday, I was advised to follow up with my local vet the next morning. Dr. Dwyer was very thorough in his exam, as well as his advice on what to look for as an indication of improvement or worsening of the situation and the time frames I should be looking for. The concern and advice were both reassuring and excellent. I was also quite pleased to discover that there was no charge for the follow up visit related to my emergency clinic visit.

I had an entirely different experience than what others are reporting. There were at least 7 staff members standing around and all of them ignored me and when they did attend they were indifferent and rude. The place looked dirty to me and I was treated in a second class manner. Dr. Vaughn expressed my dogs anal glands but lacked personal connection with me or the dog. Everything seemed half-way. The only thing I can figure out is that it was about 30 minutes prior to their lunch time. Still, that should not effect the treatment of a new client. In addition, upon check out they wanted to make a COPY of my driver's license. I see no reason why a veterinarian's office needs a copy of a driver's license on file. I don't mind showing it for identification purposes, but keeping a copy is unnecessary and pushy at best. Finally, $24 for this procedure is double what I paid for my regular vet before moving to Florida.

The veterinarians at the clinic are very helpful and they always ask about my cat. I've been taking my animals to this clinic for over twenty years and they are still doing a wonderful job. The Lake Mary Veterinary Clinic is great with animals and I recommend this clinic to anyone who loves their pet.

THEY'RE GREAT. THEY REALLY CARE ABOUT THE DOGS. THEY'LL ANSWER ALL OF YOUR QUESTIONS FOR YOU. WHEN THE DOGS ARE IN, WE ADOPT DOGS AND THEY'RE OFTEN PRETTY SICK. THEY'LL OFTEN TRY THE MOST HUMANE TESTS FIRST AND TRY TO MAKE THEM COMFORTABLE. THEY'RE GOOD ABOUT LETTING ME BRING THEM ALL AT THE SAME TIME. WE HAD A COUPLE THAT WEREN'T GOING TO MAKE IT, AND THEY WERE PRETTY HONEST ABOUT THAT.

THEY ARE JUST THE VET FOR THE DOG. THEY TAKE CARE OF EVERYTHING THEY DO YEARLY. IF I GIVE THEM A CALL THEY FIT ME IN IF THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE DOG. COMPARED TO WHAT THEY HAVE TOLD ME, HIS PRICES ARE PRETTY HIGH, BUT THE WORK IS GOOD SO I LEAVE HIM THERE.
