Excellent... Got a later start date then planned but I wasn't in a rush anyway. Worked out great. Darren and Antonio were a great crew. I will definitely use them again!

Unfortunately I wasn't entirely happy with the result and feel that the job was rushed. Several areas were not properly taped off with plastic. As a result there was drywall mud on carpet, windows and a wall that is made of natural stones. They should have spent a little bit more time taping off these areas, especially the stone wall. They had very poorly attached some plastic against the stone wall. At one point I walked into the room when they were shooting the texture at the ceiling and the plastic was hanging loose. Instead of stopping to secure the plastic they just continued and much of the drywall mud ended up on the stone wall. When I addressed this one of the men attempted to clean it off with very dirty water, resulting in white streaks on the entire wall, essentially making it worse. I spent several days trying to clean it off, but it is very hard to get the white stuff off the stones. :(
Darren said that there was nothing else he could have done differently because the tape did not stick to the stones. But I disagree. A few days later I painted the ceiling and used green tape to cover that same wall. The plastic stayed on perfectly and I did not get any paint on the stones. I wish that they would have spent 15 more minutes to cover things properly.
Also, someone must have still been scraping popcorn when someone else was applying texture on the walls, because there were several large areas with popcorn stuck in the texture. There were also areas on the ceiling with popcorn still stuck under the new knock-down texture. They also left a mess outside, with drywall chunks and popcorn on my lawn and in flower beds. I am also not entirely happy with the drywall repairs. The new pieces are still 'wavy' and thicker than the rest. I think that this could have been done better.
I sent an email with my complaints, but never received a response. I might not have left this negative review if they had written back or had done anything to work things out.

We had to battle every step of the way. The job supervisor, Steve, was the worst. He put 8 ft corner bead on a 9'4" wall. He had to rip it out twice to make it right, so that it wasn't sticking out of the wall! They hung the drywall with a cut section running right around the middle of the walls. The finishers came in, with their toddler and were incapable of making the walls smooth. They brought the child to the job often and let her eat and play in and outside the house. It was dangerous and I asked that they not bring her. They brought her anyway. They cut a wire in my exhaust fan and they covered 2 air supplies that I had to pay the HVAC guys to cut out. Steve argued and fought with us on everything. In the end,I had to call the police because he was violent. He threatened me personally after my husband left to go to work. The owner of the company didn't come to the house to settle things or apologize for his employee's behavior. The job took over a month and they still didn't do it correctly. We had to hire someone else to finish the job. They refused to take less than the original contract amount so that we could pay the other contractor. Instead, they filed a lien on our house and we had to fight them with lawyers and in court. In the end, they cost us double what we should have paid and set us back about 5 or 6 weeks in our construction. We have screwpops in every room.Terrible company-in every way. We had tons of contractors on this job, without any trouble from any of them, except Allen's Drywall.
