RESTORATION SPECIALISTS

Restoration Specialist first came and gave an estimate and described what the company could do for us. They sold us on their quality. Once the job began it started going downhill. There was little communication between the project manager and the person doing the repairs. Whenever a concern arose and I spoke with the project manager about it all I got was excuses and mis-truths. The main thing that started trouble was the drywall. They talked me into doing a smooth finish. However it id not ever seem that the finish was smooth. Several people have worked on this job. Many things have had to be done over. The higher ups in the company have come to see the kitchen. Each time only because there was an issue. I was always met with excuses or with the phrase "that is the way it is done now". One day I was so frustrated that I began crying because of all the excuses and blame. No one would take any responsibility. Finally, after calling and them hiring new people to redo and complete the job we are at a point of almost completion, the counter top over the bar was first too big, so they cut a hole in the wall and pushed the counter through the wall and patched it. This was not acceptable with us, due to eventually wanting to put in a granite counter top. First, we were told that this was the way it was done...then they agreed that it needed to be fixed. Two weeks before Christmas they brought the new counter top...it was cut too short...they decided to fix it by cutting it and one end...That made it fit but it is now too short and it is flush with the cabinets below. When I brought this up with them today they got a little aggressive with me. I told them I knew that they would not agree with me but that I was not happy with it and that was that. Several times I had meetings with the men from this company. It was always interesting to see how much better they treated my husband than me. Unfortunately my husband could not always be present.
